Had lunch here with friends on a very busy Saturday. I would recommend the antipasto 'massimo' platter, which was delicious and ample for the three of us. The mains were generous, well presented and cooked perfectly. Attentive, friendly and efficient service, definately be back!

Food is great. Service is not. Food at most of the Carluccios i've visited has been good. However, at this particular Carluccios, the service is terrible. I was having dinner with my friend, the weekend it opened. We ordered, popped outside for a breath of fresh air, came back to find that the waitress had given our table to another customer. We ate at the bar!

Surprised by all the negative comments! Went here on a Saturday evening. Other people ordered starters which they were disappointed with. I ordered swordfish for main, it was simple but tasty, and everyone else seemed to like theirs, service was fine. Nothing special but perfectly adequate.

Truly awful. I would compare it to school or perhaps a US theme park: One must queue here, wait there, do this, refrain from that and ensure all is done in the correct order.

I like to enjoy my food in great surroundings whereas they appear to be attempting a 'food experience' or some such rubbish. Find an independent bistro.

The food is authentic south italian, puliese! I can say that because Im grown up this food. I have eaten in total three times there and it is very good, maybee the portions are not big enough for me, however I can eat a lot... I can not recomend the shop as it is mostly to expensive but authentic...

P.S. Im not related in any kind with Antonio Carluccio

Disappointing. This restaurant looks great but both food and service were certainly not up to scratch. Staff were not particularly friendly or helpful apart from when the time came to pay off the bill. In fact most of the time they were lolling around and chatting. The choice for vegetarians is poor- the vegetarian lasagne I ordered was overly cheesey and sickening. And ladies, if you like to powder your nose of an evening, then be prepared to spend a couple of hours. There are only 2 toilets and when one is out of order, as it was when I visited, you'll be queueing all the way back to your table. We wont be visitng again.

The food was outstanding and wonderfully fresh, but the service was very slow considering the restaurant wasn't all that busy. I ordered the 'milanese di pollo' which was delicious but all it came with was a side of rocket and not the green beans etc it was advertised on the menu with. It was simple quality but still this is more of a lunch hall than a restaurant.

After successful visits to other branches with my sister, I suggested to my partner that we eat at this one - then I read the recent reviews and didn't want to risk it. However, unable to get a table at the adjacent Strada, we went to Carluccio's after all and had a great time. The food was fine and the service was prompt and seemed genuinely cheerful and friendly, despite the branch being packed out. Based on this experience, I'll keep going and am looking forward to the next visit.

This place is somehow too crowded for its bad food and service. The woman at the bakery counter was rude (I asked if I can take some croissaints to my seat, she literally shoved her chin to tell me to talk to the waiters--since I was not seated yet--what right does she have to treat customers like this???) waiters were shouting at each other that they could not hear me asking for a seat. Drinks were ok, they got my changes wrong but couldn't be bothered to ask for them (small change anyway) wanted to leave the place as soon as possible. Never will I return.
