Durrants

I went with six colleagues to their Sunday lunch.

The staff simply couldn't be bothered. They took a booking for 12:00, despite the restaurant not opening until 12:30; they peremptorily ordered us to check our jackets; they poured the wine without offering a taste first; the plates were cold for the roast beef buffet; the only vegetarian option (I asked beforehand if there were any) was an omlette. The food was OK, but not outstanding for the price.

I find it significant that Marylebone on Sunday mornings is bulging with foodie visitors, but Durrants Restaurant was not full at all.
