It's so great to see restaurant reviews where loyal customers have been returning for decades - the Bangkok really is that sort of place. My parents first started going in 1969 and took me for the first time in 1978 when I was 6. It became the way the start and end of school holidays were celebrated, school prizes, a girlfriend's 18th, later a decent 2nd date venue before a night on the town and, 33 years on - now that my parents have discovered the 3D IMAX experience - where the three of us go for dinner before the movie. We have had an unchanged order since I was about 11 and even though my sister and her new family live too far away to join us we just split the dishes 3 ways ;) Love the food - love the place - love the staff and the continuity in this disposable world. Special fried rice noodles, garlic chicken, chilli beef with thai basil, sate, breadcrumbed king prawns - take your pick - it's all delicious!!! I hope to take my 1 year old nephew there someday...

I first came to Bangkok 25 years ago when I was a child. I have been coming ever since. The food is fantastic and the service is unfailingly warm, courteous and understated. Everyone I have ever brought here has loved it and returned. It is, for my money, the best Thai restaurant in London.

My family and I have been going to Bangkok for maybe 10 years now, or more, and it's absolutely fantastic. You'd never think, when you saw it from the outside on Bute Street, that it would be so atmospheric and calming. I've always liked whatever I ordered. We also take-away frequently, and it tastes just as good and is ready quickly.

My Father is the head chef of this restaurant and has been since before I was born. I love the food there and have many fond memories or 'running wild' around the restaurant. I was let be because YES Thai people do love their children and if you were to go to Thailand you would see the most content well behaved children you will ever encounter. This place has a wonderful vibe in it because the people who work there. This is my home away from home and I am pleased to see so many others love the place too. ;)

First taken to this resturant by a girlfriends parents who were frequent visitors in 1982. Since then anyone who I have introduced to it have all returned since, now 50 years old and living in Chichester on the south coast, I still need to visit a couple of times a year, its almost addiction.
