Visited late Sat night after seeing Sound of Music. Excellent service, and excellent food. The steak ws the best I have ever tasted and my partners lamb chops were fantastic and the cheesecake was amazing. Will visit again when ever possible

Although we had booked we were kept waiting for at least 10 minutes until a table became available. The food was OK but nothing special, we were packed in like sardines, and the music was too loud. Perhaps it's better during the week, but on a Friday it was unbearably noisy and we really wished we had gone somewhere else. The following evening we found another restaurant where the food, the service and the 'value for money' was outstandingly better.

I'm surprised to read negative comments here. I've been here a couple of times (most recently earlier this week) and been very happy. It may not be the greatest food you'll ever eat, but you wouldn't expect it to be at the prices you find here. It's good, honest, home-cooked Italian fare, and very friendly service to go with it, and you really can't ask for more than that unless you want to spend a lot more money.

You have to ask how a small restaurant like this manages to survive in such an expensive part of London when surrounded by much better known places. I'm pretty sure that the answer is that they provide consistently good food and good service and get a lot of repeat business. They'll certainly be getting mine.

One point that impressed me greatly is that their wine list, with only one exception (Champagne) is exclusively Italian. I like the fact that they are, quite rightly, proud of their national wines and don't feel the need to offer any others.

Not massively impressed. Food was OK but rather standard; nothing special.

In my opinion,all dishes are over-priced by 2-3 pounds. People in London expect to pay for a good night out dinner but this restaurant is definitely not up to the standard. Cheap table settings, slow services, and you can hear people's conversations 3 tables down.

In central London it's amazing to get anything approaching good value. This was a pretty good deal. Excellent pasta. Very good lamb chops iundeed - and very pleasant people. The fact that it was packed out for lunch on a Tuesday is the best indication, I imagine

I expected so much more after reading all the +ve reviews, but unfortunately I was disappointed to say the least.I mean the ambience was nice and it was very busy being a Friday evening,but the food just wasn't that great.I have certainly had better Italian food for much less.The service was slow due the crowd but that shouldn't be an excuse for a restaurant which claims exceptional food and service.

After reading the good reviews I was keen to try this place. We also went to see Dirty Dancing and went at 5pm to have our dinner. The atmosphere was great. The place filled up so I would recommend getting there early like we did. Absolutely everything was fantastic and we even had dessert (panna cotta - yum my favourite). I will definately come here again. Fabulous.

Cosy and relaxing atmosphere, perfect after a busy day sightseeing! Pleasant Italian style decor. Although sevice was a little slow at peak time, the waiters were very friendly and helpful. Big platefuls of yummy food at a decent price. Good value for money as we booked online to take advantage of the 2 for 1 offer. Just a short stroll to walk off the meal on the way to Aldwych theatre where we went to see Dirty Dancing (amazing!). Glad we brought the meal forward by an hour to 5 o'clock as we would have been pushed for time if we went with the original plan of 6 o'clock. Overall very good ending to a busy day sightseeing in London.

I went here the other evening with my partner. I ahve been told that this is a good restaurant. I loved the decor, and the feel of the place it was what I expected.

The food was nice, although the pasta was undercooked just slightly, but not too much to the point that I didn't eat the whole lot :-)

Would recommend as good pricing and good atmosphere - felt like we were in Italy!!!
