My husband and I made reservations but they were very rude on the phone so I did tell my husband not to be surprised if we get bad service.

When we arrived staff were friendly, we both ordered Red wine and it definately tasted like it was watered down.

The waiter didn't talk much but one thing for sure was the food was fresh and tasted fantastic.I can honestly say the best curry I ever had.

This was our first visit to Lal Qila after my husband had booked the special Groupon offer. There were six in our party. Staff were friendly, but I have reservations about the food and wine.

The Groupon offer included a glass of wine with the meal; it would appear that both the red and white wines had been watered down. The deal included a starter, main and side dish, but it was not made clear that we would have to buy rice and bread separately. We had no choice as we could not eat the curries without rice or bread!!

The portions were very small and the food not that tasty; one of the curries we chose was the crab curry (priced at £9.50 on the menu) did not taste like crab and would appear to have come out of a tin and mixed with some tomatoes.

The music was monotonous and annoying.

We will not be visiting again.

This place is awful. Went here on a Groupon deal and it is unbelievably bad. Please never go here. The service is so bad. The waiters are incompetent and cannot understand basic English. We waited 2 hours before we got the main meal. It was so bad. The manager was rude. I've never seen anything like it. Please do not come here.

Very good location.

Welcoming staff, however the restaurant supervisor is pretentious and has no customer service skills. He wasn't able to recommend anything good from the menu and he probably mentioned the word "spicy" more than 100 times.

Decoration is old fashioned, with a fake palm tree and Christmas lights on it, and a painting from Africa at the entrance of the restaurant.

Food was very average and i wasnt impressed at all. However, house white wine was very good.

The restaurant is on the pricey side as well. (£70 for two persons, 2 course meal, 2 side dishes, 2 glasses of wine)

Wouldn't go there again. Not recommended.
