Me and my wife had a fantastic time. The food was absolutely delicious and the waiters were very friendly - had a smile on them all the time. Excellent atmosphere. We shall definitely return. MUST COME HERE!

We came to Lal Qila on a Groupon deal for 2. Had high hopes but we were disappointed. Food was not quite what we expected; bland would be too nice a word to describe the meal. Portions were unbelievably small, the so-called chilli vindaloo had no chilli in it, one could count the tiny pieces of chicken in the tandoori. The red and white wines we ordered were awful and the starters were tiny and drowning in salad leaves. Have been to Indian restaurants before, this was my least favourite. Would not be coming a second time.

Been past many times, hadn't felt much urge to go inside, but with the Agra still in its extended "refurbishment" what's to do in the area if in need of some refreshment?

Pleasantly surprised - it's standard enough fare, and the lighting does no favours. But tasty enough and nice big soft naan breads.

I shall return, but I'll still check out Whitfield Street for signs of life first.

Laughable negative reviews, wonder if they have been placed by competition. We have been twice, once Groupon, once Living Social. Staff very friendly and helpful, food arrived promptly, well cooked and reasonable portions. Of course rice and bread are not included they are not mentioned and inanycase they are not expensive. We declined the wine, had a bottle of water and a pint of Cobra beer, portion of Basmati rice and 2 stuffed parathas our extras came to £14=50. We will return. How the other reviewer claims to have spent £70 a person I cannot imagine.

Very poor experience. Like other reviewers here experienced long waits for food strange for a curry house no Popadoms or chutneys offered even though part of the Groupon offer. Food was very average, vegetable Vindaloo had no discernable chilli in it at all! When mentioned to waiter he did not offer to replace just smiled. Even though the Groupon deal seemed good value it wasn't good value at all. Don't waste your money!

My husband and I made reservations but they were very rude on the phone so I did tell my husband not to be surprised if we get bad service.

When we arrived staff were friendly, we both ordered Red wine and it definately tasted like it was watered down.

The waiter didn't talk much but one thing for sure was the food was fresh and tasted fantastic.I can honestly say the best curry I ever had.
