Have been to this restaurant 3 times now, twice with my bf (who is pakistani and and loved the food) and once with 14 of my course friends (inuding all nationalities) and they all loved the food. Was great service especially Rahman who always remembers my order. We had a deal which was any starter and any main + rice/nan + a glass of wine for £10, wpuld have happily paid £20 the food was great!! So fresh, tasty, big portiond, hardly any oil and always made how I want it (sometime I tell them to make it mild somtimes I tell them make it spicy depending on mood).

I used to live in southall and have been to every indian restaurant there, honestly Lal Qila beats all of them on the food and thr service and atmosphere.

Would recommend this this resturant to anyone, truly wonderful food.

Superb service and good food, great value for money. Ate a chicken Tikka Masala with pilau rice and naan and was really satisfied I'll go there again for sure.

I am from the Bengal and I can tell you that the portions in house are small, bland and pricey, Lacks salads and the food is not fresh nor is it spicy. and hygiene standards are not the greatest, I've seen them wipe forks with a towel to clean after its come off a used plate and given to a customer. The only bargain is the takeaway menu ,especially the chicken/lamb biriyanis £3.50.. cheap as chips.. and filling too.

To be fair to them the service is good. Nice the waiters opens/closes the doors for me.

Came across this restaurant while walking past and thought we would try it out. Not going back there again or recommending to anyone. The food was well below average, and portion sizes even more so. Starters brought 4 tiny chicken tikka pieces and mains were a chicken madras which I finished in 5 minutes.

I would recommend finding a different Indian restaurant if you want a better experience. On the plus side, staff were nice and interior was well decorated.

Can't beat, simple, well priced, well presented and well served. The chicken tikka starter was full of flavours and and the lamb balti was to die for. Fantastic place on Tottenham court road.

Very good service and very cost effective food. The biryani for £3.50 is the best value lunch you can get on TCR; mint sauce is recommended too.

I have been coming here regularly for over a year now with friends from work, they have an excellent menu with the traditional dishes as well as some I have never seen anywhere else. The food is good; there is plenty of it and it is exceptional value if you get on their mailing list and take advantage of their promotions. The staff are some of the friendliest I know. Every so often we try somewhere else for a change but usually end up disappointed in some way so always end up coming back.
