I first went to this place nearly 7 years ago when my partner began working in the area.

It has almost not changed, but in a totally good way.

I went there last night with a friend because I knew they would not rush us, ...and they let us sit around chatting even though they were almost closed.

What a good establishment and so quieter than so many places in London.

The food is good as well, fish 'n' chips as it should be and such large portions!

The seafood platter was enough for both of us... The desserts also really good.

I cannot say a big enough thank you to Ben and the staff at the North Sea Fish Restaurant today. A lovely and very special old man arrived there far too early for his planned lunch with friends today. A long standing customer of the restaurant and on first name terms with the staff, he was very confused. They let him in, gave him his usual table and a drink and made him safe and welcome while he waited. As the daughter of that lovely man I am moved and so appreciative of the care and support given to my Dad and customer of over 30 years. Thank you guys. He had a fabulous lunch as well!

Had been eating at this restaurant for about 15 years with my husband always had grilled cod and my husband grilled skate suddenly in April my husband grilled skate was the consistancy of mashed potato and my cod uncooked,After telling the waitress about this she took it into the kitchen and I was left sat watching my husband eat his dinner not knowing what was happening about mine I was then told that they were. cooking another fish for me I wasn't happy with this as by this time my husband had finished his meal I was then asked if I would like to take the fish home (eat it cold )The attitude was very bad. Mistakes can happen in any restaurant but it's how the manager deals with the situation.

We have been going there for 25 years - we live round the corner.

It has lost a lot of charm in the last 18 months and the food has deteriorated significantly in quality, preparation and presentation. Sadly this place is now no better than a average. We were there last night and found the staff to be abrupt and surly and they seemed to deliberately avoid eye contact, which is the oldest trick in the book and infuriates customers.

They need to raise their game.

I first went to this place nearly 19 years ago when I worked in the area. It has not changed, but in a totally good way. I went there on a Saturday with some friends because we knew they would not rush us, but they actually let us sit around chatting even though they were closed. They didn't rush us and in fact did not even mention that they had closed. We didn't find out until we walked out the door and noticed they had flipped the sign. What a top establishment and so different from so many places in London. The food is tops as well, fish 'n' chips as it should be and such large portions! Long may they reign!

Visiting from Newcastle - a fishing port - My wife and I thorughly enjoyed our meal. My wife said that the smoked salmon was the most delicate that she had eaten in years. I had the cod roe followed by Rock Salmon. The flesh was so white and tasty that it required no other accompaniment.. A pity we don't see more of it up North. The staff were quick and polite.
