Delicious French cuisine in a quiet side street tucked away near Lancaster Gate.
The onion soup is superb, the cotelettes d'agneau beautifully tender and tasty in a rich sauce with courgettes, spinach, carrrots and boiled potatoes. The halibut was good quality, with a choice of meuniere or mornay sauce. The bread was particularly lovely: fresh, crisp baguette. House red at £3.50 was a Georges Duboeuf classic which went down very well. Atmosphere is quiet and intimate, service very friendly and accommodating. Coffee served in individual cafetiere with jug of hot milk, so you can have a second cup. Quality food at a reasonable price.

This is a dreadful restaurant. I cannot believe that this is still running. Awful, staid, boring food in unbelievably old-fashioned surroundings. Just stay away

As you walk through the front door you are not sure if you are entering someone's living-room; this helps create a friendly and warm atmosphere. Overall, the food was good, the staff were nice, the atmosphere was relaxed and the price was right. Recommended!

Small restaurant that has the same menu for at least 20 years....same old customers, like me, that never get any sort of discount or particular attention!!! What a satisfaction!!!!

I think this is a great little restaurant, decent food at OK prices. The service is freindly and un-obtrusive. Their carre d'agneau is one of the best lamb dishes going, and the fried camembert is to die for! If you like un-pretentious off-the-beaten-track sort of places, this is one of them.

My husband and I went to Pere Michel last week for our wedding anniversary. It had been recommended to us by a friend. It was a wonderful evening. The service and the food were excellent. The staff were so friendly and attentive. It is so nice to find a restaurant that is not expensive and serves such high quality food. We shall be returning soon!

Visited Pere Michel this week after a lomg time. Was impressed with the service - very and welcoming and totally professional. The food was great! H started with escargots and went through three baskets of bread moping up the juice - It must have been good. I had crab with melon & avocado. The flavours were delicately balanced. My salmon and champagne melted in the mouth & H's chicken was tender & succulent. We were offered new potatoes & veg but opted for chips-yummy. The creme brulees were delicious-the best I've eaten anywhere. With a bottle of house wine the price was very reasonable. We will certainly be back soon. J&H
