Unfortunately this restaurant does not live up to the expectations and definitely not to its extortionate prices!

Despite the restaurant being practically empty, we were served by a different waiter/waitress each time. We ordered a bread basket among other things, which never arrived, but was diabolically added to the final bill!

The Fish stew to share for a whopping £17 per person, is adequate for just one and although alright, it was nothing memorable or particularly tasty, just some fish and seafood cooked in a tomato sauce.

I have never seen a such a small portion of Tiramisu in my life!

The bill came to £65 but we refused to pay the £7 complimentary service charge.

We won't go back.

Dinner with a couple of friends here on Wednesday night and overall had a pretty good time. The room was not to busy but still had a nice feel with tables not to squashed together like many other places in the area.

Starters we had a Scallop risotto, a squid salad and a crab cake. The rice for the risotto was not cooked enough but all the other dishes were good. Mains were also good with the king prawns and the gnocchi with tomato the highlights. Tiramisu parfait for dessert was also good.

Service was fine nothing great but nothing to complain about. We washed everything down with a couple of bottles of Sardinian white and a couple rounds of Grappa after dessert.

Overall pretty good and would return if I was in the area, but doubt if I would travel across London to eat here.

Were shown to our seat and plonked right in front of the kitchen. The restaurant was very quiet. They had some plastic containers on the ledges of the serving area which looked really dirty and unappetising.

We ordered salt and pepper crab and the tempura prawns to start. They tried to serve us Salmon instead of the crab and insisted that we had ordered it. They took both away and left my prawns waiting around until the crab was ready. My Boyfriend said the crab was ok. The prawns were awful. Soggy tempura and one prawns tasted so bad that I had to spit out. Had a very watery, salty taste to it. Vile.

For mains we ordered John Dory and Red Mullet. Red Mullet was ok. The John Dory and potato were burnt to a crisp. Not much on either of the fish dishes.

The "fried potatoes" consisted of badly cooked, over salted oven chips. Mostly still hard.

And all for the bargain price of £60! They had the nerve to try and make us pay a £7 tip which we refused to pay.

Better food in McDonalds. Will not go back!

Being part of the Spaghetti House group of restaurants, the food was of a similiar standard but 4 times the price.

We ordered their signature ‘lobster spaghetti’ to be confronted with a dish that was tasteless and has barely a few pieces of tough chewy “lobster” (because it is frozen, not fresh lobster that they have used). At £38 for the dish, one naturally would expect a little bit more effort.

The halibut was slightly better, however the crispy tuna was lacklustre, coated with panko breadcrumbs and deep fried.

Avoid this place unless you are accustomed to Bella Italia and Spaghetti House standard of italian food, but dont mind paying four times the price. Most of the diners on the friday evening were tourists and non-locals.

Dinner for 2 with starters, mains and a bottle of their cheapest prosecco costs in the region of £120, after they had slapped on £12 for service. A week after I had eaten there, I found Oddbins selling the same bottle of prosecco for £6, which we had paid £25 in the restaurant for. Tourist trap.

I visited this restaurant on 6th October 2009.

We had the Lobster ravioli and the octupus to start with.

For main we both had the fish cakes with grilled vegetables & olive oil mash.

The food was excellent, fresh ingredients, authentically Italian and just what you would expect from a proper Italian seafood restaurant.

With a couple of drinks, the bill only came to under £70 so considering the location, it also represents good value for money.

I have eaten at this restaurant many times and it has always been a little pricey but the food always really good. I ate here with 3 friends last week and I think they may read the reviews and decreased the prices. The 3 of us had starters and mains, my crab salad was lovely and my pasta dish was ok. With 1 bottle of wine the bill was £110 was I thought was good (inc service). My one friend had cod for her main and thought it was superb. The atmosphere is a little bland but I would eat here again.
