i was invited to have dinner there, very quiet atmosphere.
it was a unusual scene in the city.
so i enjoyed the undivided attention from my company.
i strongly recommend for any date.
dimly lit hanging light was in perfect shade
even girl's catch up dinner would be great
hopefully so as i am heading there so tonite
the manager was both welcoming and attentive on my drinks
so my glass was never running dry
downstairs cocktail was delicious, it's as good as it gets!
i am not a critic so may not fully appreciate the art of food
but sure it was yammy.
fusion food is not particularly my cup of tea
as my tongue couldn't swallow much of appraised sketch cuisine.
but this place warmed me up
me likey!

Although quiet for a London restaurant on Friday night, The Potting Shed was a treat. The service was polite and attentive without being intrusive and the food was delicious. I would recommend it and go again.

I joined an Italian colleague for dinner. The wines we ordered were OK and not over-priced. Starters were fine, although my smoked salmon was a bit unimaginative. I had the lamb and my colleague ordered beef.
There are too few staff serving and they are not really competent enough. The danger signs were there when we ordered so I asked the manager to follow up the order before it arrived. When the food arrived it was fine, so this didn't spoil the evening. The lamb was especially good.
I liked the decor and atmosphere and would eat here again, even with the service.

This could be a fantastic restaurant, but we felt the service let it down badly. Having booked a table in advance, on arrival we were surprised to be nodded to a table by a teenage waiter. I had to go and hang up my wife's coat myself. We waited for about 15 minutes to try and catch someone to order. We were very puzzled to discover that only the manager was allowed to take the order herself. Why? Excellent food, dreadful service experience. For the first time ever in a restaurant, I made them deduct the service charge. I know it's December, but it wasn't actually that busy. Come on Potting Shed, you can do so much better.

I love this place - it's decor is slightly crazy (watering cans and pots as suggested by the name) and it feels a little like someone's house smart but its very low key and always great food and nice wine.
I recently had the set menu with a csesar salad with poached egg, seared scottish salmon and a lemon tart with raspberries with a nice light chenin blanc. It came to around £85 for two.
Overall it's understated but cheery and relaxing - a great place for a tete a tete.

I work locally and often take clients to this restaurant. It's definately michelin star stuff but the food is always good, the wine list adequate and the atmosphere suitable for a quiet meeting over lunch. The menu now offers two or three courses for a fixed price (£14 - £18) or a la carte (£25 approx per head). The service has never been a problem, in fact we have always found it to be couteous and prompt. I would and have recommended this restaurant to friends and always received complimentary feedback.
