I revisited this fish and chip shop today after I having moved out of London 12 years ago. I was sadly disappointed, the fish wasn't cooked properly, it should have been flaky white but it was a grey translucent colour. A small pot of chips which weren't fresh came with the fish, but they had posted a sign that stated bottomless chips with main meal. Because I hadn't eaten all day ( it was 3pm) I asked for another pot of chips. when I had finished this small pot of chips the waiter glibly asked if I had had enough calories. At the time I didn't catch what he said because of his accent (Polish). I will not be going back and I would not recommend people to eat there. This restaurant is clearly using a reputation that was gained thirty years ago but does not live up to it now.
