staff were harassed and not too efficient, but not unfriendly. our fish was actually pretty good all round. a solid 7.5 out of 10. chips were a crying shame though - all three of us got just small, dry overcooked edge pieces in our three (large) portions. very mediocre. Sea Shell - adjust your chipping machine for a larger cut, and you'll make customers much happier.

went yesterday what has gone wrong undercooked greasy & slow service not what i expect from them service was slow in all its not what am used to from them

I'm currently searching for good, 'proper' fish and chips in London, so I visited the Seashell based upon recommendations. Unfortunately, the hunt is still on. The batter on the haddock I ordered was far too thin to protect the fish during the cooking process. Consequently, my fish was both undercooked and greasy.

The chips were fine, but the hunt is still on.

Best fish & chips we've had anywhere. Great selection. Nice to sit at the outside tables in the summertime.

We went to the Seashell on 7th April. I must admit it was early evening (pre theatre), but we didnt have any problems with the service or food. Had Haddock and Cod and the portions were large (apart from the cod which was a bit on the smaller side). Nice atmosphere too.

Its on my list to visit again.

Went here last week this is the best fish & chips around.

Forget Harry Ramsdens.

The only fault is the poor service but its worth the wait
