I have read all the reviews and as they were so mixed I decided to find out for myself.

A group of friends and I went to St.Moritz and found that unfortunately the bad reviews were very true. We had 1 starter arrive about 35 mins before the rest of our starters arrived. The main courses arrived about 40 mins later but all didn't arrive together infact we were still missing a main course and side dishes 35 mins later. When the 1 remaining main and side dishes did arrive everyone else in our group had finished eating - some ate their mains with no sides! We did keep chasing the waiting staff who appeared apologetic but also didn't appear to have any sense of urgency about them to get it fixed. I got the feeling that this was a common theme for them!

All in all we had an extremely bad experience, the food was late or arrived at different times. The food quality wasn't great and some of it tasted like it was from a packet mix. The food is very highly overpriced. I think you are paying for the location not the quality. I can honestly say that even if I was offered a free meal at this place I would never ever go back. I'd rather eat in McDonalds which is saying something.

I'm french and thought I had to forget about fondue and raclette as soon as I moved to London, fortunately I discovered the St Mortiz few years ago!

The atmosphere is fantastic, the staff really friendly and their fondues proper traditional ones.

You should definitely try it out.... providing you like cheese ;-)

We booked a table for 10 here for last Friday night. We were told as we were a big group we would need to place our order by midday Friday at the latest (and this was to include starters and desserts) which we duly did. For the fondue main cources the burners and bread were duly laid out - half the table were served with thier chosen fondue and the others were left for over an hour just looking at the burners flames. Despite pointing out the lack of fondue to our waitress a number of times - it was only once the first halfs saucepan had been removed that their plate fondue arrived.. The fondus themselves but if you are not into eating in shifts an hour plus apart this is probably not the place for you.

Being half Swiss and growing up on my Mother's swiss cuisine it seemed fitting to take my friends here for my birthday, test it out and prove some of these bad reviews wrong...

...and that's exactly what it did. Excellent service, fantastic food, especially the fondues, and a marvellous dessert menu to follow. Fabulously Swiss decor and music. This restaurant has been around for over 30 years, and is run by a Swiss chap who clearly knows what he's doing.

A real gem in London. I'd recommend this to anyone!
