Portman Corner Restaurant

Recently joined a client who was staying at the hotel for lunch and had a very pleasant lunch. I had been once before and been unimpressed but I believe the menu has changed, although the service was again a little slow. The steak, while a little expensive, was well received and certainly looked very tender. I enjoyed the risotto and found the portion just right for lunch. I would dine here again and can recommend it to local business lunchers.

Extraordinarily slow service. Absurdly poor service. And we were a party staying in the hotel! We wondered whether they were understaffed or poorly trained, but the restarant was somewhat less than half full when we were there on a saturday night. Make your own mind up if you like very lengthy waits, watching cork being fished out of drinks before being served, and fully unjustified prices for the insulting service provided!
