I have never felt so unwelcome in a restaurant before. We were given a table at the end of the evening and were made to rush our way through the wine and meal. If they serve people late in the evening, and they are charging the full price, they should provide a polite and professional service, not make you feel like you should not be there. I have never been to a restaurant that functions in this way. Apart from this restaurant, normal proceedings are that there is a designated time set for last orders, and after that, you can wait until people finish their meal, not stand around costumers, filling the glass of wine every two seconds to speed you up and then remind you 5 minutes after serving the food that the restaurant is shutting in 5 minutes. Furthermore, they had already started cleaning the restaurant around us while we were eating.
All of this, and the food was not authentic or particularly tasty on top of being overpriced.
I have never complained in a restaurant before, I understand that everyone makes mistakes, but rude and unprofessional service is no mistake.

The place is nice, I was happy with the service. However the food is overpriced... I took my friend for her 21st birthday and went in early to drop in a birthday cake. The waiter told me there would be a £2 per head charge for the cake or if we all ordered the set menu- the sliver or gold menu there would be no charge- which is £26 or £30... there were around 12 people on my friend's birthday.. and why am I paying for something I've already paid for.. I was not happy at all... when I asked why was there a charge they said its cos they sell their own dessert... honestly??! ripping off money on someone's birthday! Its a birthday course there will be a cake.. I don't see a cake on the menu that I could order from otherwise I wouldn't have brought one!!

went here on a friday night and was seated straight away which i was suprised about as it was busy.
the waiter was attentive except for when we had finished and wanted to pay, we had to wait quite a while to get the bill.
the food is amazing. we had vegetarian spring rolls to start which we piping hot, served with a tasty dip and very very scrumptious. Then I had the Pad Thai (prawn noodles) which was truely the most delicious noodle dish I have ever eaten.
The food was fairly reasonabley priced for central london although its a shame they tag the service charge on to the bill without giving you the option of what to give.
I see there are quite a few bad reviews about this restaurant but I had a really good experience here and will definitely be going back. YUM!

The first time i went to this restaurant was Saturday evening.
The food was excellent and couldn't be faulted, especially the Weeping Tiger which I recommend to any non vegetarian.
The price of drinks was about London standard so no complaints there.
All in all a good evening

NOT A HAPPY CUSTOMER- REALLY DISGUSTED. I had read some good reviews of Thai Square, plus my partner is a black cabbie so had heard about the vast numbers of people he had dropped off and picked up from this venue. SO.....i booked a post theatre table for 9.30pm for my partners birthday dinner. Upon arriing we were shown to our table and all was good. We decided to order aromatic duck as a first starter, for a price of £13.50 i expected this to be better than average, the duck arrived cold and only enough of it to accomodate two pancakes each, so not a good start.
We then ordered a mixed starter for two, priced at another staggering £13.95, consisting of two pieices of the following yes two pieces of prawn toast, crab cakes, thai dumplings, spring rolls and chicken satay, ummm not exactly a feast and to add insult to injury the chicken satay was freezing, we sent it back and waited, approximately 8 -10bmins later a platter was brought back out with hot chicken satay and even hotter prawn toast thai dumplings etc, not a problem until we realised that they had re-fried all the other starters on our original plate to just make it hot as it had been sitting around, re-heated and re-fried fish is not good!!!!! Plus they had left the pieces of half eaten prawn toast on the plate that i had tasted prior to sending it back so clearly not hiding that the food had simply been shoved back in the deep fat fryer WHICH THE WAITRESS THEN CONFIRMED AND LOOKED QUITE PLEASED TO TELL ME!!!!
So the main meal arrived, chilli lamb, cashew chicken and a golden chicken curry, plus jasmine rice........ rice boiling hot, golden curry boiling hot, cashew chicken -FREEZING, chilli lamb - FREEZING.These two dishes went back and came back out, by now i had lost the will to live and was even more annoyed that no-one had offered any kind of recompense at any stage.
When we eventually asked for the bill, it arrived with a waitress happily telling us that as we were not happy with the service they had knocked off the service charge.........OK NOT A PROBLEM UNTIL YOU REALIZE THAT THE SERVICE IS OPTIONAL ANYWAY!
Pointed this out and had a ten minute lack of communication chat with the waitress, asked for the manager who appeared and told us the same thing that the service charge had been deducted, it took me a further ten minutes to get her to grasp that i didnt actually have to pay the serivce charge anyway as THEIR OWN MENU STATED THAT THE SERVICE CHARGE WAS OPTIONAL, eventually she asked me very rudely what it was that i wanted, i told her that i thought the least they could do was deduct the mixed starters £13.95 which still meant a bill of £71.00 i hasten to add. She agreed BUT IN THE RUDEST FASHION I HAVE EVER EXPEREINCED, she stropped off to get the machine ot process my card payment, "flung" the machine on the table and demanded PIN, without a please, gave me a receipt and walked off without a thank you or goodnight.
As this was a birthday dinner it was so sad, and i was so angry that not only did the bad food spoil our evening but this restuarants inability to offer any customer service at all.
PLEASE DO NOT GIVE THIS RESTAURANT YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY, I BEG YOU.

This is an an ideal restaurent for a date, particularly a first date occuring on a wednesday evening. My own date, called Geovanni, noticed that there were alot of people in this restuarent that looked potentially like they were on dates. She noticed this on her way back from powdering her nose.
Overall, the restaurent was ok, but bear in mind there is a 2 pound surcharge for prawns on any dish and this may upset your date. Oh and you might also get to see Boris Johnson.

This is actually a major complaint which the restaurant manager is fully aware of.
Would like all restaurant goers know that this restaurant was recommended by my friend. On 23rd June, three of us travelled a long way to have a re union dinner. one friend was from India. The restaurant has a very convenient and perfect location.
Food taste was good. Amazing was the décor and the anything you need to go out for. the service was poor. We ordered Tom Kha Kai soup, taste was fantastic but it was cold, imagine having cold chicken and coconut soup. We complaint, waitress said we will bring you a new one, instead she took our old soup from our table, warmed it up and brought back to our table with less quantity.
Dinner was served very late, we also ordered Fried w Cashewnut, this was also cold, we had by that time served all the dishes on our plates. we told the waitress that this dish is cold too, she said sorry and walked away. We waited for some time for a response and stated eating as we had our last train to take back. Despite us telling them that we are getting late. When no one approached we asked to speak with the manager, Nattha came to our table and did not even say sorry and walked away. We had already asked for our cheque whilst we were having our dinner, it took them so long to bring the cheque, the waiter told us that they have not charged for that dish, but we were charged. We asked for the manager, she came and was so rude to us. Everything took time even when a glass of water was requested.

Being a Norwegian LSE student in London I found the idea of having a Thai restaurant in the old Viking decorated 'Norway House' quite amusing. As a listed building, the original decor has had to stay, no doubt to the current restaurant owners' dismay. Entering through the door beneath Norway's patron saint St. Olav and displaying the counties of Norway's coats of arms, we were taken to our table by a neatly dressed Thai girl. Embarrassingly having to sit a few centimetres from our neighbours we received the menus and ordered an appetizer, one main dish of moderately spicy (two pictogram peppers) curry, one main dish of prawns and two servings of rice. For drinks we ordered one Tiger beer and a glass of red wine, we were also served luke warm tap water. The restaurant, judging by the seating, was operating on approximately 75% capacity, throughout our visit.
Our appetizer (for two) was very tasty and raised both my girlfriend and my own expectations for the main course. After about 15 minutes the waiters served the main dishes with the extra rice. The food left a lot to be desired. It was intolerably spicy, so much so that it verged on the inedible. My girlfriend's prawns were satisfactory, but few and far between and did not stand in relation to the price.
Finishing our dinner and wishing we had gone somewhere else, I ordered a glass of brandy, Courvoisier VS for £3.50. After another twenty minutes we decided to go to a nice café for coffee and asked for the bill. My girlfriend headed for the lavatories so I decided to make sure it was correct. I am glad I did. They had charged us for an extra Tiger beer and the brandy suddenly cost £5. Details we, and probably most people would have overlooked had I not been so pedantic about the brandy prices. Calling back the waiter I notified him politely and discretely about the discrepancy in the prices and the fact that I only had had one beer. He took it back to the restaurant manager and came back having corrected the brandy price, but insisted that I had drunk two beers. The neigbouring guests, due to their close proximity had overheard the conversation and were appalled, pointing out that back in America the customer is always right. I insisted back, knowing quite clearly that I had only drunk one beer, one brandy and a few glasses of tap water courtesy of the spicy food. We were brought a new bill with both a corrected brandy price and quantity of drinks, not to mention deletion of the service charge. We paid and left, knowing that we would neither return, nor recommend this restaurant to anyone, London has too many nice restaurants to waste time and money on the bad ones.

Feb 14th at this place is a shambles, an experience that i wouldn’t even feed my enemy/dog with! Saying that it was a very expensive disaster that was not worth a dime. The food was pre-prepared and cold, rice was also scarce that we were only given one portion to share between the two of us. Starter/main course proportions were too small (and I don’t eat much) and it was also cold. When i got the bill i was so appalled cos it had cost me £80! Set menu. I’m disgusted with that we where not given a choice other then the set menu and it turned out to be an expensive disaster. I will never go there again and i recommend no one else bother too.

I had the hen party at Thaisquare Trafalgar and we've been offfered 2for1 cocktails as it was an early party in the evening. The signature cocktails were fabulous and the food was great. The service was a bit slow as we were in a group of 30 but the overall is impressive.
