I like the food at Wagamama - no complaints about that - I know its not high cuisine or remotely authentic, but it is usually pretty tasty stuff. I even like other branches of Wagamama. This one, however, is the pits. I went in today at 12.15 - pretty early and there were only 6 odd people inside, most of whom were already eating. They took my order pretty quickly but then left me to stew for nearly half an hour. People who had arrived 10 minutes after me were being served. And when I asked if I would have to wait much longer I got a surly reply. I don't know why I went back, really, since the last time I had gone with 3 friends they all got their meals and had eaten them before mine had even arrived. I won't be making the same mistake again!

The key thing to remember when you visit any Wagamama's is that you're not there for a long, luxiourous meal with attentive service and top class food. Wagamama's is simply the noodle equaivalent of McDonalds. Every dish is produced using a "production line" method with no deviation or customisation permitted, which is fine if all you are after is a reasonably quick lunch or evening meal. The food is pretty good, though not the best, and the service is friendly and brisk. I'm not keen on the canteen table layout, but (again) what do you expect from a fast food joint. The only gripe I have is the price, which is about 25% more expensive than I would've expected to pay. Lunch with a starter and drink will set you back about £16, which is fairly steep for what you get compared to other places in the area. Still, if you want standard noodle fare and don't worry too much about price, then this place is recommended.

Wagamama doesn't do authentic japanese food. It is too westernised and charge too much for its dishes.

Despite all this, i liked its dumplings!

I have been living in Japan for a Year, ad I can tell you this restaurant has nothing to do with Japanese food !

I never been in just just looked at the menu, that's enough for me ! I cannot believe people like it.

This is mediocre, trendy, over-priced, pseudo-Asian food at its worst. There is little authentic about this place, and I wasn't keen on the canteen-like rows of tables. The staff can seem brusque and don't seem to mind rushing you, worse still they have little knowledge of what Asian food is all about. There are far better places in London for this kind of food; moreover, were the dishes on Wagamama's menu served in the countries they originated from, they would cost less than half of what they are priced at here. I'd only come here again if I were desperate for something fast and predictable.

It is no coincidence that Wagamama WC1 is just a stone's throw from the area's famous Socialist Bookshop. Age-old radicalism emanates from the walls of this windowless cavern, which was doubtless as popular with the famous 'Bloomsbury literati' as it is with Jessops employees today.

Dreadful, abrupt and dismissive service from a team of staff who's only aimis seems to be to get you fed and out in record time. I have experienced this at 4 different branches in London. The dumplings are chewy and all orderd arrive when ready you may be eating alone whilst your friends wait and watch! The soupy noodles are the only redeeeming item here.

Wagamama is brilliant!

Beautifully fresh and healthy food, rapid and attentive service, good, buzzy atmosphere, a really enjoyable experience.

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE open a branch in South East London! I will personally eat in there every night! And I'll bring my family!

This is a fun and nice place to eat, although I hasten to add, come the weekend it's full of a few too many Soho morons. The staff are attentive; the food is fine; all-in-all, it's okay.

If you want a nice, good value meal out, this is the place to go; if you want to romance a lady, I suggest you find somewhere else.
