Let me simply say that there was NOTHING good about this awful place! The service was a total disgrace. Maybe it was just the waitress we had. Instead of just placing the food on the table it was thrown down in front of us. Some of the food fell of the plate onto the table. I present my dog with food in a way that is more polite. The food was simply disgusting, it arrived cold after a 45 minute wait and was so bland and awful it was inedible. As far as value for money, if it was free it would have been overpriced!!

Complaint : i am a costumer .....have been there many times but this night i found a awful manager who advised me to order and fininish to eat as soon as possible .....! I ordered a miso soup but instead of it arrived the main course...or amai udon.....i called another waitress thinking was a fault of the previous waitress......she was an iriental waitress who did not want to understand anything as usual their attitude ....! Suddenly she came back apologizing warning me that another plate was called ..........(are ypu sure it was not the same plate ?????? And if it was the same why should i pay a sort of waiting plate ? And not a new plate ? Does it cost the same ? ) (this is cheating and unpolitness !) Sent it back compaining ......finally arrived the miso soup .......ate it arrived later "the main course" or amai udon ..........! I had it but i could not order anything else.....due to the bad and late service....and the rude manager ! Why ? I complained to one of the usual waiter who knows me very well but he cheating me awarnad by the manager (i saw them) came to my table just to make me feel idiot accepting my compaint but avoiding to give a form to complaint formally i should have gone on line .....here i am.....!!!!!! This is .due to the rude -------young........manager -------and the rude and unable ---------young waitress-------- --!!!! Although i complained and i wanted to order more......because i love the wagamama food making their profit i think ....it was impossible .......so i warned the waiter that or they going to change their attitude or ithey are going to loose a costumer.......alone and happy to go there ! B...h.......what have i done ?

After a lovely Sunday walk in Richmond, London my friend suggests a lunch at Wagamama, I have been a few times but have not been too impressed. Positive eating, positive living, let's give this little selfishnes another go.

The waiter guy is pleasant enough and instead of the obvious noodle dish I want something healthy and well.. positive. I opt for a butternut squash and veg with Japanese rice. And some boiled soya beans for a starter, I love them. I can't get enough of them. Nobody can spoil them.

Soya beans arrive. What an earth, they have been microwaved. They are soggy, rubbery, tastless and far from positive. They are appalling.

The main course arrives. More sogginess in form of sliced pieces of flavourless something next to a processed and industrial looking lump of sticky rice. And everything is glazed with sauce that reminds me of school dinners. That is not a compliment.

This is an eastern-inspired restaurant-eatery, yes but how are my trained hands gonna work the chop sticks on this unspecified pile of mash? The waiter reads my mind and brings a fork and I ask for a knife. 'We don't have knives'. WHAT??

I feel cheated and negative. This is not how it's meant to be. I am out of the restaurant in 20 minutes boasting angst. Just like the rubbery veg, in and out as quick as possible.

How have they spoiled such a good concept? What went wrong? Do they not taste what you serve? I felt embarassed on the company's behalf. Yuk, never again.

If you don't know what Wagamama is by now - you must walk around London with your eyes shut. There is a Wagamama around every corner these days. But I have to say that they all have consistently good food and are perfect for a quick, tasty and reasonable mid-shopping or mid-work lunch. Another point to note is that no matter how busy they are I have never received bad service. Some of the branches do take away - like the one next to my place of work in the City and I have the Chilli Chicken Ramen at least once a week from there!

After a very late drinking session on Friday night, my friend and I were craving McDonalds, crisps and all things bad - but instead I thought a nice healthy meal at Wagamama was just what we needed - and boy was I right! Absolutely delicious chilli chicken ramen (I always have it when I go to Wagamama, it's so so good) fresh flavours and just nicely spicy. Also tried their raw juice (apple, orange, tomato, cucumber amongst other things) Surprisingly tasty, will definitely have that again. So feeling all virtuous and healthy (and by now not at all hungover!) we opted for a white chocolate and ginger cheesecake that was out of this world...mmmmm. With the bill coming to under £30 for two of us it was great value.
