Bumbles

I love love LOVE this place. I went there with my boyfriend and we had a 3 course dinner - each dish was just great. The cheese souffle starter my boyfriend ordered was incredible, he loved it. I had steak as a main, and every bite was absolutely perfect, I never had food that good in a restaurant before.

And the dessert! Oh my gosh, if they still have it on the menu, you have to try the banana flambe surprise. If for no other reason, I would go back just for that.

The atmosphere was really nice, everyone was friendly and totally unpretentious considering the quality of food.

My wife and i are over from New Zealand for two weeks in London and have been dining out most nites here in London. Tonight we were joined by friends, 4 of us dining at Bumbles Resturant at 8pm, 28/11/09 and seated at table 1. After making our reservation based on the internet reviews rating this resturant in the top 3 !....we were highly disappointed when we found the food rather average, one of the main meals the steak was chewy dry overdone, also the wait for our main courses was really slow...understatement!. To top it off they completely forgot about our deserts...For which it took 40 minutes to arrive at our table. Total time of dining at Bumbles took 3.5 hrs.

I would rate the service at Mc Donalds far more superior than Bumbles, Their food, service only worthy of a 2 star resturant. I would never dine there again nor recommend. Sorry you dont have our votes.

We went to Bumbles in July and we were more than impressed with the food and service. The menu was creative, the food was well presented and in one word delicious. Every meal was not what you expected it to be, in a very positive way. The service was excellent as well.

No complaints about the price tag either. Just excellent food for a very good price!

Had a lovely meal at bumbles on Saturday and I have to say I haven't had such a delightful one too. The service was very courteous and efficient. We all enjoyed our meal thoroughly and can't wait for our next visit.

Support our neighborhood restaurants we are told! there are some that really should not be supported, but then again, there is the occasional one that is a real gem. Surrounded by copious chains in Victoria, Bumbles really shines for food.

I went last week with a friend. Budget usually never becomes dinner conversation. However, on inspection of their menus, they offer three course dinners for ten or twenty pounds per head, and on this occasion, we found a seven course menu for £30!!!! I do my fair share of eating out(to support the neighborhood restaurants ofcoarse) but i have never seen a tasting menu for £30 per head!! without hesitation, this was our choice for the evening. I dont want to ruin all the fun for diners, but lets say that there were some really fun dishes, dishes that my friend and i walked away from with a smile of both pleasure and bemusement. You have to try the baked potato soup with the extras!

all in all, seven courses later, two bottles of pinot noir later, we were full to the rim and still smiling from our baked potato soup.

definitely worth trying seven course meal, it is a find!!!!!!
