I was a bit disapointed. Indeed, the food was good but had nothing special, nor particular taste. We were in a room under a tent and it was a bit cold. Besides, the decoration might be nice in the main rooms but under the tent, there was no decoration at all.And I thought it was a bit expensive for a restaurant that has nothing special.

Anyway, the service was very good with very nice waiters.

I had a business dinner at La Famiglia in July 2006.

Much to our surprise, service was less than optimal for such a restaurant at such a top price. Waiters were scarce and impolite to say the least. Top wines were served at a very inappropriate 35 degrees temperature. The restaurant has a very deficient air conditioning system, which means that you are sweating your macaroni off before you have even tasted them. The whole scenario, together with the nice human smell that is commonly associated to sweating masses, was more stereotypical of a dirt cheap Spanish “cantina” somewhere in the Costa del Sol rather than a top notch Italian venue in Central London.

Not recommendable at all. Go somewhere else.

It's still got it!

The best by a long way.

Never disappoints.

If only all restaurants were as good as this one.

I am from New York. Went to this restaurant for my 60th birthday last year and thought it was excellent. Food is equal to or better than the best in New York. Went again last weekend and again excellent. Pasta will not be any better in the after life. Service is like having you old Italian uncles waiting on the table.

We were looking for a child friendly restaurant and went for La Famiglia due to the positive reviews. Must say we were NOT disappointed at all.

The welcome was like we were members of the family. The service was great and the kids were entertained. Imagine a waiter "driving" through the restaurant with a child in a high chair"!.

A restaurant were there is room for everyone.

Went back last night for the first time in about a year. The food remains the best in London and the service is absolutely perfect.

I have eaten here many times & always recommend it to friends visiting London. Small, intimate, friendly & the food is excellent. The wild boar & raboot skewers were the best thing I've ever eaten in an Italian restaurant. Originally recommended by an Italian friend, what more is there to say?

Baby lamb was lovely. The potatoes were gorgeous. It was very crowded in there. The staff seemed to deal well with it and were very friendly and attentive.

The starter was a strange tomato type soup. Had cheese and bread mixed in with it with some basil. Lovely flavour but a bit gooey.
