This used to be a cosy, welcoming pub. It is now corporately run and headed by a rude and defensive manager. I last visited during the winter of 2010/11 when it was snowing and literally freezing outside but there was no heating on and no log fire! On top of this food and drink are overpriced.
Change the management, lower the prices and put the heating on and I may consider visiting again. Other than that don't bother with this 'past its prime' establishment. What a shame!

What a fantastic pub; what an everage restaurant, what bizzar service.
I went back to this old haunt of mine last night for the first time in about four years; as I remembered the beer was fantastic if not pricey, but after that, I have little else good to say of the place.
As a single man I hated children in pubs, as a parent I was surprised my son could not eat with us but that's life I suppose.
The chips are well cooked and the vegetables suppass the standards set by most pubs but the place was let down as I say on service.
