I have eaten there with friends many times. fabulous pizzas. real italian pizzas and more and prices similar to pizza express but more like a real pizza. staff have always been friendly, helpful and accommodating. i was recommended to it by a young italian guy and his wife- we fell in love with the food and go back as often as we can. we introduced it to our friends and they love it too- there are always lots of young italians dining there so that tells how authentic it is. i rate their pizzas first class

The only positive about this restaurant is the location! Poor service, grumpy staff and very cheap food (yet expensive menu!) are not a good business card. When you order more than 3 pizzas, you automatically get all pizzas by the meter, which is not nice because it gets cold and soggy quickly. But yet, the restaurant charges the same as if you ate a normal pizza.

Italian restaurants are well renowned for their great hospitality, but Made in Italy unfortunately lacks in good manners and customer service.

i do not recommend this restaurant if you are passionate about good food.

The party piece of this restaurant is a combi pizza on a long wood platter and the calzone look as big as rugby balls but we went for traditional pasta. This was in a different league, obviously home made, perfectly al dente and full of flavour. The sauces were delicious too. Just had the one course and left more than satisfied. There are few restaurants where you leave already planning a return trip, but we shall certainly be making our way back down the Kings Road very soon.

Wonderful, friendly, cosy atmosphere with an authentic Italian feel, really buzzy without being sloppy. Excellent food, promptly served, at reasonable prices for this part of London

The worst restuarant I have ever visited. The service was nothing short of diabolical - Waited 1 hr for some garlic bread! Noticed a lot of other tables were suffering from poor/slow service too so we asked for the bill. Another 20 minute wait to finally get the drinks bill - not on the house, was charged and barely apologised to. Certainly not a place to recommend.

My favourite pizzeria in London. Pizza has never disappointed in the perhaps dozen times I have eaten there, beverage and pizza prices are reasonable (only exception: prosecco!), atmosphere is very good and quality constant. In summer, a roof terrace provides for the added atmosphere, if you go late enough in the evening to get a table.

I never went out feeling that I would have rather have eaten elsewhere and this really says it all.

Avoid the prosecco and you'll be fine.

I went to MADE IN ITALY last week. Unfortunately it was not a pleasant experience although the restaurant is in a very nice part of Chelsea.

The food was overpriced and really average. I order a pizza which was slightly burnt and very dry, almost as if they were too greedy to put a bit more of tomato sauce and cheese on it. The portions were small and not really tasty. To me the ingredients were very cheap, a fine smoked ham advertised on the menu turned out to be cheap ham.

In summary, MADE IN ITALY is far away from the fine Italian cooking and it does not live up to the West London restaurant standards in any category. Not recommended, too expensive, food poor, customer service appalling.

AVOID IT!

I had not been there for over a year but returned this week. But the place that I used to enjoy changed. It was poor in quality across the board. The pizza was made from low quality ingredients. The antipasta tasted out of the can and the bread for the bruchetta was stale. The desserts lacked taste especially the tarimasu. I order a lemoncello and it may have been 1/2oz serving. And for over 100 pounds for 4 people (2-3 drinks a piece) I will not return.

Monday, December 07, 2009 - Overall I thought the pizzas were OK…It tasted better than most, with evidence of the smokey goodness of the wood oven being quite evident. However, the pizza didn't really have an x factor, the dough in particular was too dense for my gentle buds, more plastic than plastecine and the difficulty we had in finishing the pizza sort of said it all. Not quite Franco Manca, but it did make for a good cold pizza the morning after...Antipasti & pastas were reasonable both in terms of value & taste and overall, mildly exciting at first, but once we got to know each other, it was just another familiar affair. Enjoyable if a little forgettable.
