Very seasonal authentic italian cooking.

Pastas (in wintertime they offer a scrumptious bellybusting truffle gnocchi with taleggio), Fish, Meat (the milanese in grissini is a real man's size and the grissini are made with house olive oil from tuscany), pretty much eveything is made in a simple loving truly italian way.

I have been going here for almost 10 years and have loved it for just as long.

This is my favorite italian restaurant in London!!

It is very well known for its succulent Milanese, but all the disches are great! I love the sea bass and the sole especially.

Go for it if you like italian food different than pizzas and pasta!

I go here regularly and love it, its simple and easy, no fuss, but always great food and attentive service. It has a good buzz and staff really know their guests, seems everyone who visits comes back!

I go quite regularly finding it reliable and very friendly. Calves liver is good, they will do it any way you want but my favourite is simply in sage butter. Also good is the grassini coated escalope.

Winelist is simple, not very interesting and the menus look as if they have been used since 1973, but as a good reasonable non-chain venue, it's quite good. Desserts a bit dull...not sure they are very interested in them.

Although the restauramt was slightly empty (it was a wednesday evening) we were greated by a very friendly waiter and the service remained top notch throughout the evening.

The food was wonderful I had asparagus and then sirloin steak (although I did pick slightly badly on this one as it was cooked in vinegar and slightly strong) but everyone elses food was fantastic. The lamb, fish and pasta was all great and for started the aubergine with mozarella and parma ham was a great starter.

The restaurant overall is great. The vood is reasonable value and the wine was good.

A really nice, friendly restaurant. The waiters take good care of you, and the food is wonderful.

very authentic hearty home made food

in th ewinter they make home made gnocchi with taleggio cheese and truffles - heavy but to die for!

I also recommend the lamb chops and milanese (instead of breadcrumbs it's coated with olive oil grissini) for meat lovers

it's small, intimate, not exactly elegant but food-wise you can't complain.

a great neighbourhood gem!

Went here last night expecting good food, good service and a lively atmosphere and was disappointed on each level. The food was mediocre (in fact, my guest's main course of salmon was pretty poor), the service not particularly good and the ambiance lacking. Add to this the noise from the kitchen and the creaky swing doors separating it from the dining area and you get the idea...
