When I was told about a Chinese restaurant that had live Jazz nights, a wall-to-wall tropical fish tank and romantic jungle-like foliage I had to make a trip to see for myself! I persuaded a couple of friends to join me and they too were as impressed as I was. Odd as it all sounds, the décor of this place really works and the food and service didn’t disappoint either. One of my favourite bits of the restaurant (and there are quite a few!) were the private alcoves in the basement which just scream ‘romance’! They have curtains that can be drawn shut if you don’t want to see any of the other diners or if you fancy some privacy! In terms of food, they do the usual classics very well and the staff were very friendly and knowledgeable about the dishes. There is even live jazz in the basement on Fridays and Saturdays. Not expensive by any stretch as it was worth every penny! Mr Wing was a welcome relief from the crowds outside and I intend to go back!

A friend recommended me to go to Mr Wings and I was very pleasantly surprised. The décor is a funky mix of eclectic euro oriental in the bar / lounge area upstairs – which is so unusual for a Chinese restaurant – and a paradise of tropical plants with 30ft fish tank in the downstairs dining area. The food and service equally measured up to the surroundings and the prices were very reasonable given the high quality. There is even live jazz in the basement on Fridays and Saturdays. My favourite dish was their signature Aromatic Crispy Duck which was excellent. If you’re not looking for a traditional Chinese restaurant and if you want to impress then I would definitely recommend Mr Wing.

The atmosphere is good, with jazz and a giant fish tank being a fairly relaxing combo. This does not however, make up for the extortionate price of the food. It was nice, but certainly not worth the amount charged.
Buy a fish tank, a jazz CD and get a chinese home delivery and you're there (for half the price!)

Think this is a fantastic place.
Food is Great (& filling!!) atomosphere is fantastic with Piano player as you eat, waterfall etc. Very opulent & great staff.
Agree with the last guy that for a small place the smoking is a real pain and does ruin it slightly but still worth a visit!

One word - Smoking -
A quick review, I took my wife for our wedding anniversary to a special place.
The atmosphere is amazing with the waterfall on the one side and the enormous fish tank on the other. I can not fault the whole experience only the fact that they do not have a "no smoking" policy in the downstairs area. The air-conditioning system can not cope with the smoke. The food was ok - my local Chinese seems to be just as good
Sorry to say but it did not end the night in a good note we were drenched in smoke
I you are a smoker you will love the place, it not be warned

Arguably the best Chinese restaurant in the whole of London. Food is spectacular. The atmosphere is very soothing with live jazz in the background, subtle lighting and a huge fishtank which really complements this amazing restaurant.
Evrn if you dont't eat out for a whole year you MUST come to this place.

I heard a lot about Mr Wing so I decided to give it a try with two other friends. As we entered the restaurant, we were greeted by very friendly staff. The waiter took us downstairs. Entering the downstairs was like entering a different world, away from all the hustle and bustle above ground. The main restaurant had great atmosphere and the fish tank was certainly the most impressive I had ever seen.
We ordered the mixed hor d'oeurves as starter. That was exceptionally good! The meal was followed by aromatic crispy duck. It was definitely one of the best that I havd ever eaten. We also ate the kun po prawns, stir fried beef, ma po tofu, pak choi in oyster sauce and rice of course. We had a bottle of Pinot Noir from Coldstream Hills. It went very well with the meal.
Overall, the meal was exceptional and the service was great. The bill was a bit expensive but it was well worth the money. Mr Wing is definitely one of the best Chinese restaurants in London. Highly recommended!
