Benihana in Piccadilly, London was a fun dining experience for my boyfriend's birthday. The food was delicious and the entertainment from the chef made it very sociable. I'm not sure if the deal was much cheaper than when we dined there before, but we still enjoyed ourselves regardless. It's worth going if you haven't been before.

Had a perfect birthday party with my friends at Benihana on King's Road. The atmosphere was lively and our chef was brill... the service was friendly and attentive...great cocktails (a little expensive but I guess it's the same everywhere now..)

Recommend if you go in a group or for occasions like anniversary or birthdays.

Surprised at some previous comments... I enjoyed it and will definitely be back.

This place is quite disgusting, extremely overpriced and the whole outfit is pathetic. £35 for chicken teriyaki, without any service or presentation. One can eat in Nobu for the same price and have a far far superior meal. The only circumstance one should ever go here is if you have young kids.

Surprised at all the negative comments. We went for dinner a couple of days ago, loved the decor and size of the place, what started as a little busy soon turned into a packed restaurant with lots of families and children all excited by the shows put on by the chefs.

When the food is on your plate it does not look like much and yet I could not finish mine nor could my wife and we are both good eaters.

The price is a little too heavy though. Lobster, scallops, prawns and streak with two types of fried rice, wine, and some other drinks came to just over a £100

But the experience and the food were good so we left more than happy.

Good Lord. A huge empty hanger, actually I would prefer to eat in a hanger as it would smell a lot better. In fact, if you could distill the cooking fat out of the air in there I'm sure you could use it to fire up a jumbo. I love the design of the industrial extractor though. I quipped to my colleagues that it had been there so long it was designed by Isambard Kingdom Brunel. Shame they hadn’t cleaned out the filters since 1884. Sorry to go on about this but I really don’t want my hands glued to the table I’m sat at whilst having a drink. You don’t get that in a backstreet caff so I don’t expect it at a restaurant charging this much. Clean the place at least for God’s sake and then redecorate it, have some self respect. At the entrance there are (faded) pictures of celebrities who have passed through here. One of them is Tom Hanks. If you’re reading this Private Ryan. Save yourself and chose any (and I mean any) restaurant on the Kings Road rather than this one.

Just returned from my first and ONLY foray to Benihana. Avoid in summer as it's downstairs and pretty dark decor. Second when empty, theres zero atmosphere. so you can hear every clink. Third it is just way to overpriced. There were only two of us, and we hardly ate like royalty: one prawn and one steak hibachi, and a spicy prawn stir fry on the side with soft drinks came to 80 quid! Ouch. If you want to see the grill chef in action, check em out on youtube instead and save yourself a nice wedge of cash. to think we could have eaten at our favourite local (Lamberts) for that amount.
