Absolutely disgraceful! We got a reservation for 8pm. The manager offered a table downstairs as another couple was apparently 'paying the bill'. Waited at the bar for the next 45 minutes as the couple was still 'paying the bill'. When we finally got to the table at 8.45pm the table wasn't even set up and the plates had a strange smell (imagine dirty wet rag smell).

Food was below average for the price. Had the seafood mixed grill which wasn't fresh and overly salted. The famous Lobster Spaghetti was way over seasoned. Service was abrupt and our dinner was interrupted periodically by the screeching of the waiters which we later found out was their 'singing'.

Don't go there if you want real Italian food!! However, if you do want to check out their poor excuse of a 'genuine Italian atmosphere', do go!

I have been to this restaurant often. Whilst the food and atmosphere is generally very good and it is a local favorite, yet the staff have been rude. On Saturday I arrived at 630pm with a friend the restaurant was completely level both downstairs and upstairs. We asked the manager for a table, basically we never even finished our question, when he very sharply said 'no'. We tried to explain we would be quick but he wasn't having it. He said he was full. We went over to Zuma and received a far better reception. Out of curiosity I walked past at 8ish and the restaurant was not even half full.

I went to Signor Sassi's last week, I dine there quite frequently and always rely on Donato's recommendations (the manager). He informed me that they had just put white truffles on the menu. You can eat them in whichever way you prefer, on your steak, in an omelette, with tagliolini, tagliatelle... but he recommended that I had them in a risotto. This dish has topped all others I have ever eaten in a restaurant, I'll go as far as saying that not even my nonna Assunta could have rustled up such a delight.

For all you foodies out there, try this delicacy before the new menu comes out.

My husband and I ate there some nights ago and we were very dissapointed.

The waiters play to be a funny italian, and that couldn't be of worse taste. They brought us main courses we didnt ordered (and we had to wait 10 more minutes for our food), the spaghetti were not al dente, as expected in an italian restaurant....and the last, the waiter spilled the espresso on the table.

Not a nice ambiance, we were seated in the 2nd floor and it was very hot and could hardly listen because of all the noise....

We wouldnt go back

Amazing food! A very unique experience. Going back again next month for hopefully another wonderful meal. I asked the waiter to make me a champagne and lemon sorbet (it's not on the menu). He happily did so and even added a dash of vodka to give it an extra kick. My favourite place to dine out in London by far.

The last time we ate at Signor Sassi, it was absolutely outstanding and we couldn't wait to return. Unfortunately, we were extremely disappointed this time. The bread didn't taste fresh and the food from the appetizers to the main courses was just very average. The service was great and we wish the food wold have equaled it. We won't go back.
