This is the worst value for money meal I've ever eaten in London. The food was awful and spectacularly overpriced.

The place smelled musty. Staff were forceful and took to having a very public argument with each other. The food was not very good. My chicken disk was dry and the moussaka was burnt!!

We had no alcohol and the bill was still over £80(for 2). I think there was absolutely no value for money and I would never recommend the place to anyone!. Ever!

Yet another super meal at our favorite restaurant. As opposed to other nasty comments,we find the food always fresh, the vegetables cooked just how we like them, and the service wonderful.I can only assume that people who make poor comments are only used to eating junk food and do not appreciate cooking in the old fashioned way in a restaurant with old fashioned values.Perhaps a little on the expensive side (drinks ,Veg' ) but this is London. Thanks to John,Michael and staff for another great evening, see you again.

My wife and I came to this charming restaurant on the evening of our sixth anniversary. We looked at the reviews before coming and decided that a few rave reviews far outweighed what seemed unreasonable rants. By the way they do have vegetarian for those who prefer that kind of food.

The experience for us was completely unforgettable and very special. We chose to reserve a table in advance, purposely at a time when most people would be at the theatres. It was a cold rainy night and the restaurant was warm, quiet, cosy and welcoming. We got what I can only describe as royal treatment, so forget any reference to poor service by others! The food was outstanding and certainly good value, even though it was a little more pricey than other Greek restaurants we had been to. I don't mind paying for true quality and service, which is what we received from John and the staff. So attentive, so polite and such perfect timing....all of this made our evening special.

We drank retsina and had the meze to start with. It arrived much sooner than we had expected...perfect timing because we were both famished. Delicious, and the correct portion size for a starter for two. The selection was good and the taramasalata was the best I have ever tasted, in Greece (I have visited several of the greek islands) or any other Greek restaurant in the world.

The main course was high quality standard fare for a Greek restaurant and we were well filled. (My wife had some delicious lamb rolled in coriander seed and I had a stuffed aubergine) Unfortunately we were so well filled that we could not even sample the very tempting looking desert trolley!

We will certainly be going back again and would like to thoroughly recommend this delightful place to all. You certainly don't have to be going to the theatre to try it.

The service is endearingly 'old school' and very friendly, but I'm afraid the food just wasn't good- no getting around it: lukewarm meze starters that should be cold; thin tzatziki without a hint of garlic of cucumber (possibly a generic white sauce), halloumi that was not grilled, dubious humous...2 of our mains came with the same disconcerting brown sauce and several of us did not finish our meals.

I'm in no position to be ageist, but I couldn't help noticing that most of the clientele were of rather...very "advanced years"...reinforced my sense that this is food that you would serve up in a nursing home, when the sense of taste has long gone.

Do not make the error of thinking this is Greek food (it is a Cypriot restaurant).

Beotys is a hidden gem in the midst of the hustle and bustle of Leicester Square. Coming here takes you back to an old fashioned era where the sevice is impeccable and customer care is paramount. You are made to feel incredibly welcome and looked after. Staff see to your every need and you are not left wanting for anything.

The restaurant can be a little quiet however this is a blessing as you feel away from the stress and rushing around which is going on outside.

The menu is extensive serving both Greek and British cuisine and appealing to anyone. I have been here several times now and the food has always been exceptional. Your meal is prepared in front of you with the freshest ingredients and cooked however you may desire. I highly recommend the seabass! The vegetables are crisp and fresh and in no way out of a tin as the other review says! That's ridiculous! All the dishes are presented beautifully.

Beotys is a charming restaurant run in a traditional way and the owner and his staff are incredibly friendly. it is a pleasure to go to and I recommend it to anyone.

Wandering around Leicester Sq area looking for a decent place to eat.....not difficult right? Well after passing several American BBQ joints of the usual kind and a few other places that didn't sound too exciting, we stumbled upon this place and decided to go in. Usually you would say that if a restaurant doesn't have many people in there, don't go in.....but we wanted some peace and quiet which is not easy to find on a friday night in the west end!

We were politely greeted and shown to a table in what does appear to be an old fashioned but quirky restaurant. Drink orders were immediately taken, nibbles placed on our table (along with some lovely fresh bread) and we settled into perusing the menu.

Plenty of food on the menu to choose from and some fabulous sounding dishes left us feeling extremely hungry and we both ordered the scampi theodore for starter to share. This came out shared between two plates for us and was quite simply delicious. I'm not the biggest seafood fan but I could eat this every day!

Stuffed aubergine came next and this was fantastic too. Plenty on the plate with nice tasting flavours that ensured the plates were sent back empty!

All of this washed down with a nice greek white wine with a lovely flavour created by adding greek pine resin...Retsina....recommend trying this wine.

The service was prompt, polite yet not too overpowering and the waitresses ensured our glasses were never empty.

Definitely a place to try and one that we will certainly be going back to!

This review covers only the atmosphere in the restaurant - I didn't stay long enough to try the food...

I was going to the theatre with my friend and we wandered in here looking for a quick bite to eat beforehand - we'd read the menu outside and it sounded pretty good. There was a dedicated and signed photo of Phil Collins in a frame as you go in "if its good enough for Phil" I thought. Once inside I noticed there were very few diners which is why i was surprised when we were led past all the empty tables to one at the side - I couldn't figure out why there weren't any chairs at this table. The manager pulled the table away from the wall and invited us to sit on a mini-sofa in a slight alcove, then he pushed the table back in, "great" I thought "if I need to get up to go to the loo once the food arrives, I'll have to move the entire table out of my way, I can't lift it by myself and I'll be distrubing my friend".

A waitress brought us a menu and asked if we wanted drinks, we ordered drinks which came promptly and perused the menu, but no-one came to take our order. We were sat pretty close to a central point where there was food on a trolley - it looked like it had been there some time (millenia?) four waitresses stood there in unblinking silence but never once looked over to see if we were ready to order. The whole atmosphere was surreal and the decor looked like it was a few hundred years old - crumbling and outdated. You were worried that if you sneezed too hard you'd end up buried in a pile of fake velvet and plaster. 20 minutes later I remained rammed up against a wall with no sign that anyone was going to come and take my order. I told my friend this didn't bode well and things were likely to get worse not better. So we stopped the manager who was passing and paid for our drinks, dug oursevles out of the alcove with a swiss army knife (he didn't move the table for us to get back out) and legged it out of the virtually empty restaurant. "What were the others like? Did they look terrified?" I asked my friend, as from my seat I couldn't see very much of the restaurant. "They looked like they were recovering from plastic surgery" was the reply. Perhaps we were the wrong kind of clientele and hence got the semi-alcove treatment. Judging by some of the reviews for over-priced tinned food (did they have tins millenia ago?) we should be glad we made an exit when we did.

I gave the atmos a "2" for irony, plus if one was mildy intoxicated (say on laudunum) it may be quite a pleasant experiencce overall. Food and Value are zero's because I have to give a figure.

I was thinking of going to this restaurant so did a further web search so that I could view their menu's. I was very disappointed to see that they do not have any vegetarian main courses! There are some vege starters. Greek restaurants are usually great for vegetarians but sadly this one is still in the dark ages. If you eat fish fine, but if you are a full on vegetarian there are no main courses at this restaurant for you. Beoty's I hope you are reading this.
