one of the best restaurants in London witout a doubt!!! WHen we lived in Kensington we'go once a week, now its down to once a month since were on the other side of London. Great staff and a fantastic menu!

I visited here the other night with a few friends and was really impressed. I thought the food was good, not in any way haute cuisine but totally dependable and good old fashioned hearty food. The menu is quite typically British - bangers and mash, cottage pie and peas, lamb burgers etc, kind of gastro pub fare I suppose. I started with the smoked salmon and pitta bread followed by baked cod and mashed potato - both excellent. The wine list is tremendously good value for money, very reasonable prices. The house wine starting at as little as £7.50 a bottle, although we didn't opt for this we did have a delicious bottle of Pouilly Fume at £15.00 followed by a Sauvignon Blanc at £13.50, both very good. The service was a little bit off on the night that we went - the staff are incredibly young and trying to catch their attention to get our bill was a bit problematic - however don't be deterred, its definitely a safe bet if you want some reliable food in the Fulham area.

I go to the Wine Gallery at least once a month and am never disappointed. The wine is phenomenal value, the food is good and the service is excellent. The staff are extremely accomodating and friendly, even when very busy, and always make an effort to find us a table. I have been here with my family, my friends and my boss, and everybody has always commented on how nice the evening was. I can heartily recommend it to all.

I think a large dose of reality is required when reviewing the Wine Gallery. It's cheap (not as cheap as it used to be), it has a great wine list, it's cosy and the service is perfectly acceptable. Food is good too - try the brie and you will be in heaven. If you live locally, it provides a welcome alternative to the invariably more snooty places on Fulham Rd. If you must have luxury, there are plenty of other places that will lighten your wallet & treat you like you're lucky to be there !
