I went to sugar hut last saturday night and I have to say... maybe one of the best places I have ever been in London for ages, the music was great and I have to say the show of lights was fantastic - the crowd was very good, the service was ok, the whole experience makes you feel you're in a different place in different world, very different and unique, The place has changed but all for good - well done sugar hut fulham and thank you for bringing this vibe into fulham we need it ....and whoever is reading this , go and check it out - nothing like it in London

I went here on Saturday for my housemate's birthday. Despite booking a table for 9.45pm and having the pre-booked set menu, we didn't start eating till 10.30pm. The food itself was excellent and I really have no complaints there. What was dreadful was the nightclub they insisted on having in the bar area. The music was unbelievably loud and it was a peculiar experience trying to eat green curry with a disco laser shining in your eyes. The non-eating bar clientele was a mix of toffs and idiots that I had been warned to expect, and the DJ was the most useless I've seen in a long time. Please Sugar Hut DJ, if you ever read this, just play the records rather than tooling about with the mixer.
Go there for dinner outside of the weekend and I'm sure it's lovely.

When we went to the Sugar Hut, we only had cocktails therefore cannot comment on the food. The ambiance is lovely: dim and luxurious, with oversized sofas which you can recline on.
The cocktails themselves I thought were pretty average and overpriced for what they were. However, it was the service which I found appalling (reading the reviews, I see others have found the same). Despite there being only us and 3 other groups, the waitress was very slow and slightly surly. We had to remind her of our order after 15 minutes. Then, when I asked for the bill, I realised that a 12.5% service charge had been added sneakily. When I commented on this and told them I thought it was too steep, the waitress stomped over and took it off. I told her I was happy to give her a tip, but I felt 12.5% was a bit much for just cocktails. She just mumbled 'not to bother', didn't meet my eye and left us to show ourselves out!! So rude - they seriously need to sort their customer service out!!

This is my favourite Thai place in London - great atmosphere, great food and good service. A little slow with drinks at times, but this is usually because everyone orders cocktails - which I also highly recommend - they do a great Mojhito

We booked a table for 10 people last week. The lay out is fantastic and The service was shocking, We had to ask for drinks, and my friends did not get offered drinks all night and the staff did not speak to us only grunted when we we giving our orders so it was hard to tell if they actually got our orders. Food was ok, though I felt it lacked that special something...we felt could have easily made it at home. I really feel the staff let the whole feel and ambience to the place down

I would strongly advise against going to this place if you are a group. I reserved a table for my 30th for a group of 9 several weeks in advance. On the night, they kept us waiting whilst they said they were preparing the table and after an hour of waiting, they said they had double booked the table and we would not be getting any food! By this time it was too late to go elsewhere and my guests were left hungry.
They offer me a complementary meal to say sorry but when I came to take them up on the offer they reneged on the promise!
My experience was extremely disappointing

Went for a 1st Anniversay meal with my wife.
The restaurant turned out to be major disapointment.
We went on a Sunday and it wasnt that busy but still got sat at a table near the kitchen. I asked to be moved but was told that all the tables were reserved.
The decor and ambience was cool, soft romantic lighting etc.
The biggest disappointment was the food. It was very bland, even though I chose a dish with 2 chillies next to it on menu.
The portions were small, and luke warm.
My wife's stir-fry vegs, looked as if they were boiled, the noodles had very little taste.
I'm hoping that this was a one-off as all the reviews seem to indicate that this place is very good, but based on my exprerience, this is not the best thai restaurant in London.

I took a large, but well behaved group here as a thank you. The food was ok, but the service was way beyond bad from start to finish. Almost as the last bite hit our lips we were hurried from the table to the 'lounge' which turned out to be the seats by the door, where the staff refused to serve us tea. Despite the big bill I have been made to feel more special and had better service at MacDonalds. Shame.

Great! I went to the Sugar Hut on Friday evening with three friends and we were not disappointed. We took advantage of the 50% off deal and didn't hold back. Our starters were fantastic, delicious and interesting. Our main courses came and we had ordered a selection of fish and chicken dishes. One was quite a plain bbq'ed piece of chicken and although not particularly interesting it was succulent and melted in the mouth. The sweet and sour style temura cod was 5* and the service was very good. Now having said that we were very pleased with ourselves, which is true, I think I would expect a little more imagination for the main courses when paying the full price and some more light around the table so we can see the menu! I will most certainly be going back.
