Probably one of the most horrible bars I have been to. Rude staff and bouncers. The manager was the rudest person I had come across all night. Apparently being the manager gives you the right to push people out of the way! And £10 entry! Avoid if you value your hard earned cash.

Having eaten at Sugar Hut on a couple of occasions before I was not wildly excited about my friend's decision to have her birthday meal there, as the food, service and atmosphere was pretty poor on all previous occasions. I'm not usually one to blog about bad experiences so I won't bore you with the details of my previous visits. However, I was appalled to find out how they treated my friend's birthday booking. It appears that on receiving a bigger booking they moved my friends booking without telling her and on querying this she was told they "had plenty of booking and didn't need hers". Rude as well as a disappointing restaurant! Don't go there.

Everything we thought it would be and more!

After a couple of bad restaurant experiences recently, we were looking forward to this with some trepidation, but we were not to be disappointed.

The service was impeccable (especially Maggie), just the right level of helpfulness. They knew when they were needed and when to stand back.

The waitress which we had for the meal was friendly and gave excellent description of the food.

The food was out of this world, from the amuse Sugar Hut platter to the fizzing kiwi cocktail and passionfruit tartelette.

The three courses were a delight to eat, with each mouthful being something to savour.

We were originally going to go on the set menu but we were swayed (by ourselves!) to go on the main a la carte menu.

I would definitely recommend this restaurant, for a special occasion if you need the excuse.

It will make every other restaurant pale in comparison!
