Match (Margaret Street)

I stumbled on this bar with my boyfriend and we just wanted somewhere to sit down, out of the cold and have a drink. What a surprise! The staff were friendly, the barman especially, and I was over the moon when I asked whether they had any tanqueray gin for my G&T and it was the House gin! Whatever Bourbon my boyfriend had (not JD) it was the nicest I had ever had and their chips... oh their chips... we voted them the best EVER. Okay so we just had one drink and some chips, not a meal, and it was dead quiet on a Saturday afternoon, but it suited us right at the time. We are still talking about going back and I am taking a friend there in a few days... I hope it is as good on my return.

What happened to Match?? I came here this time last year and it looked ropey. But it is all singing and dancing now they have refurbished. Drinks/ food and service from bar staff and the waitresses was first class. If they read this - well done, looks great and keep it up!
