I planned to go for the steak and lobster deal, but unfortunately didn't read the times it was available and so the offer wasn't on. To be honest I wouldn't pay these prices for this type of food. The portion sizes were obscene, I'd have been happier if the size and the price were halved. I didn't feel there was anything particularly amazing about the food. On the up side, the atmosphere was really good and buzzy. I'd maybe return when there was a deal on.

My boyfriend and I have been going to the Big Easy for over five years and up until Sunday night have always had an amazing experience. Unfortunately this was not the case on Sunday night. We decided to go there for my birthday dinner however the whole night turned out to be a big disappointment. First my boyfriend tried to order the lobster special which they did not have. Then he asked for the corn chowder, again they were out (despite it being up on the specials board). I ordered the butterfly shrimp and steak combo which I had ordered several time in the past. The shrimp turned out to be tiny in comparison to what I had experienced in the past and the steak looked like something they had picked up at a supermarket. The waiter's attittude was so laissez faire that I got the feeling he would rather have been somewhere else than serving us.

The Big Easy is not cheap but the quality of the food and the friendliness of the wait staff make up for the cost factor. As we were leaving I spoke with the manager and conveyed my concerns. He was disappointed to hear of our experience and promised to follow up with the concerns we have. Lets hope so as I don't want to see the Big Easy follow in the footsteps of other less reputable establishments and start caring more about the bottom line than the quality of the food and the customers' experiences.

I was extremely impressed with Big Easy. I recently took my wife for dinner, and found that the food was served in significant quantities and tasted fantastic.

Quite frankly, I wish they would just buy Bodeans and turn them all into Big Easy's - at least then I wouldn't have to trek to Sloane Square to visit them.

My wife and I were very impressed with the quality of the food. I sampled the Shrimp, Chicken and Ribs - my wife the Ribs. All were very impressive, and we had plenty leftover to take home for lunch the next day. I didn't sample the steak, crab or lobster, but the people either side were happily chomping away at them and were loudly singing their praises.

The service was very good. The only downside was having a time limit set on the dining time. It was a Saturday close to Christmas, but it didn't feel very nice to eat against the stopwatch. Saying that, our waitress was incredibly helpful and I didn't pour my own wine once the whole evening.

My only criticism of Big Easy is that there aren't enough of them - its the way Bodeans should be, and I cannot wait to go back to Big Easy for another feeding frenzy!!

Go, and you won't be disappointed :-)

Had dinner last night at The Big Easy with my friends and we had a most pleasurable experience from beginning to end. It was our friends last night in London and we decided to take her for a special and memorable night out and that's exactly what we got. The staff were friendly and helpful and the service was excellent. The oysters were the best ever and my rump steak was delicious. There was live music which just added to the wholeness of the experience. Delicious food, superb service and a fabulous atmosphere has put The Big Easy on the top of my list for a good, satisfying night out. We will be back.....

Fantastic value, great food and the manager is Mr Diplomancy. He is so 'Big Easy' himself! a joke here and there and a lovely quip with all the customers. Night me and the little woman were there, the only trouble was a large birthday table who were out to 'cause a rumble'. but he gently soothed that troubled water! The staff are great too. Our food arrived promptly and quickly and very hot!

Afterwards we had to have a walk to Holborn and back (via Fitzrovia) to make space for some pancakes!

Great!

Great food, great atmosphere, a bit understaffed and slightly too expensive (but it is on the Kings Road so what did I expect right?). They have some pretty good special deals on different nights of the week though and American food is my favourite food.

Gourmet Chick - 6/10

Monday, November 10, 2008 - The tables at Big Easy are laid with cheery red and white checked table cloths while the wood panelled walls are covered with signs spouting home-spun wisdom. I can't help but feel as if I have wandered into the movie set for Sweet Home Caroline...A huge platter to share arrives at our table loaded up with a selection of the different entrees on offer. The "Voodoo" chicken wings are very good with quite a spicy kick to the sauce lightly covering the plump chicken wings. I am not so keen on the breadcrumbed unidentifiable fish or the greasy deep fried calamari.
