We went to this restaurant for a friends birthday and after reading the reviews we were a little on edge to say the least. However, I have to say we were really pleasantly surprised. For one thing the whole place was packed; the downstairs was full and we were one of two 10 people plus parties upstairs along with a few smaller groups. The food, although not amazing, was good and served hot and fairly quickly. The price was reasonable. would definitely go again.

Dined with my girlfriend at Thai Square in Angel, it is an undervalued to express that I was dissappointed, although the food was served quite quickly when it came it was cold, it was a poor quality in comparison to the other single Thai restaurant where the food and service is much better

The staff is ok but the lady, management is so bad, she chew something and working at the same time, it was understandard. Overall it wasn't a good dining experience and will not be dining there again. DON'T TRY TO GO.

A friend and I went to Thai Square (Angel) about a month ago, having been there several times before and being very happy with the food and service provided. Not so on this occasion, however. On arrival we went straight to the Ladies to freshen up only to find dirty floors throughout and dirty sinks. A cleaning rota was stuck to the wall with no entries on it (despite it being 3 o'clock in the afternoon) and it was certainly clear that no cleaning had been done for some time. Returning to our table, we were given menus, the covers of which were quite tatty, and despite the pages of the menu being covered in wipeable clear plastic, the pages were stuck together with food and were sticky to touch. If this is the state of the things we (the customers) can see, imagine what the kitchen/things we can't see are like! With that thought in mind, we got our coats and left. Very disappointing.

This is the single worst meal I have ever had, and some of the rudest service. The starter of salt and pepper squid was chewy and tasteless, and arrived when we were still looking at the menu. The waitress rudely moved our glasses around the table, mixing up our drinks, and clattered the plates around noisily. The mains arrived cold (the heated plates had long since gone cold also). The noodles were so overcooked they had disintegrated, and the sauce with the "sleeping tiger" (or something) beef smelt genuinely disgusting, like there was something in there that shouldn't be anywhere near a dining table. When we complained, the waitress first asked if we had eaten Thai food before, then marched off with no further comment. The manageress was a little better, taking one main and 10% off our bill, but the other waitresses sneered and smirked as they passed us after we complained. This place is an absolute disgrace, and would advice people to avoid it.

I've been to Thai Square at Trafalgar Square quite often. Last weekend was the first time I and my friends visited Thai Square in Islington. They offered a different range of menus and drinks. The prices are slightly cheaper than the Trafalgar branch. The food was quite quick even though there were a lot of people. I would say it's worth trying this restaurant.

really really poor, we have given this restaurant 3 chances as i love thai food but the food always taste like something from the waitrose ready meal range and in no way authentic. More importantly, we were made to feel like freaks for not making a reservation, despite there being plenty of empty seats.....it took 40 minutes for our starter to arrive, and people who arrived after us had even got their main meals by this point!. My partners food was cold and when we asked for the bill, it took another 15 minutes (by this time i was timing it!!), i was so disappointed that we decided not to pay the service charge. I asked the waitress to remove the service charge from the bill (she didnt ask me why), she typed in her code onto the handheld card device, passed it to me, (there was no option to check the amount), I put in my pin number, and then when my receipt printed off i noticed she hadn't taken off the service charge at all!. I queried this (yes it was less than a tenner but it's the principal by this stage), to which she took ages to count out the cash from a til. If i'm completely honest, ive had better service in a mcdonalds drive thru

Dined with my partner at Thai Square in Angel, it is an understatement to say that I was dissappointed, although the food was served quite quickly when it came it was cold, it was a poor quality in comparison to the Thai Square in Trafalgar Square where the food and service is AMAZING.

The staff we re ok but the atmosphere and surroundings was quite sombre

Overall it wasnt a good dining experience and will not be dining there again

hmmmmm not too sure about this place! To be honest the food wasn't too bad.... it was hot and promplty served but... to start with as there where 10 of us we decided to order from the set menu (£20 per person based on 2 sharing) they then brought up 4 plates with starters on enough for two people as stated on the menu, when we questioned that we where a plate short we where then told that the starters are 1 between 3 people which ment some of the party had to miss out as there was only two of everything per plate!

Then came the best part, the bill! Where do they get off adding a £28 service charge?? and telling us we have no choice but to pay, are these things not soposed to be stated on a menu or something?? and to be fair the service charge part was hand writing on our printed bill, surely if this was the service charge here it would be included and not written in after??
