It's absolutely disgusting.
we were a group of 21 people trying to celebrate our xmas party. The food was cold ( when we actually got some food, but that is only the first part.....wait ...).
the staff seemed not to have much of a clue of customer service. the tequila shot girl pushed the selling and the actual shot of tequila was a mix of liquors and other staff. it was our xmas party as I was mentioning before so everyone tried to be calm and relax as much as possible. after 1 hour and half waiting for our main course some of the friends couldn't wait any longer and went. after waiting so long , we asked to the "manager" where our our food was, he replied " sorry we run out of food". that is desgraceful. i will definetely recommend anyone to avoid this place.

We went as a group of 12 for my birthday. The venue is brash, loud and the toilets are disgusting. In addition, the venue is overrun with hen weekends making the noise levels even louder. The menu describes 'tapas food' , what arrived was a poor selection of party nibbles which was not 'tapas' by any means. The main course of fahijtas was served between 2 people, however much less than what is required to feed even one. The free drink was terrible and the wine was not much better.
I cannot understand how this restaurant can survive when there are so many other better priced better quality venues. Furthermore the salsa music was hardly authentic.
It ruined my birthday and I will only ever recommend not to book this venue.

The Salsa lesson at the beginning of the evening is good for getting you all in the party mood and involves everyone,.
However, the food was dreadful on all counts and we had to wait an hour for our pre-booked table, as the party before us hadn't been advised their table was limited until 21.30.
The dancefloor was crowded and exceptionally sweaty and there wasn't a huge amount of real salsa taking place. Most of the men there seem to want to try to rub up against you rather than dance.
Whilst the atmosphere was great we wouldn't go back.

Food was not as described on the menu, took two hours to arrive and I had to order everything twice before it eventually arrived, overcooked.
After complaining, our complimentary "cocktail" was little more than a jug of ice with one mint leaf.
By all means go there to dance, but eat somewhere else first.

They brought us six platter of fried nibbles (for 22 people!), hardly any food for anyone. But here is the twist. They did not wanted to charge us for the price of food but for the number of people who attented! So instead of paying 60 pounds for the food (as per menu) they wanted to charge us £220 only because there were 22 of us! Of course we refused to, got the bill down to £110 after many arguments, but was still a rip off.

ok, if you want fine dining and a quiet cosy atmosphere dont go to salsa,
but, if you want a fantastic time with an unbelievable atmosphere then salsa is the place to be.
how good to see a live band on stage, possibly the last authentic latin american club in london, it should be applauded.

Overpriced and poor food. Good party atmosphere but certainly wouldn't eat there again. We did complain and got a free round of drinks.

A group of 10 of us went to Salsa having read the comments on this web site, but keeping an open mind. Although the staff were friendly enough and the service reasonable, the food is vastly overpriced and very poor. However, we did complain and got a free round of drinks which was nice. Wouldnt go back there or recommend it.

I organised a hen night last Saturday, 8 October 2005, which was a huge success. Yes, the food isn't great, but it's food and there was more than enough for 11 of us! We arrived about 7:45 which was late, but the 'very friendly/helpful' staff had no problem keeping our table, until we arrived to find it quite quiet....until later on, which admitedly did get very crowded, but only due to the amount of people who obviously love this place and return time and time again. This is mainly a Salsa bar and if you are interested in dancing and/or salsa music (which we were), then i'd definitely recommend it!!
