i went to lucky 7, a couple of nights ago and it was fantastic a friend had recomended it because of its truly vintage feel. And it was great the food, the service and i have to say there were two very hot waitresses, not that that is why i would return ....... i would recomend this to anyone in the area or, sod it any were in london. the burgers are fab, especally the Fog horn Leggy thing (chicken burger)and the kalifonian and the vanila malt milk shakes are to die for. GO NOW!!

After rave reviews from a friend we decided to give it a go. The service was appalling, we kept having to wave for their attention. 4 of us recieved our burgers quickly, the fries came 10 minutes later sans the guacamole which we had to ask 3 times for and one persons food only arrived 5 minutes after the rest of us had finished our meal... The food was ok when it finally arrived, but the atmosphere, the shoddy service and the freezing temperature and the extortionate price of all contributed to making it one of the least pleasant dinners I've had in a long time.

Went to Lucky Seven for the first time for Sunday brunch yesterday. We got a booth straight away. Service was fine, if a little surly from the guy. Nothing major though, and the girl was very pleasant. Food was just excellent, I had the bacon cheeseburger - couldn't fault it. Fat chips were fine, onion rings were very tasty if a little soggy. Choco shakes were great. Had no problem splitting our bill on separate cards. Would definitely return, especially if I lived a bit nearer.

PS The art on the wall is actualy pretty anti-American. I was with American friends, and we only noticed this half way through the meal. This was not a bad thing, just interesting.

I hadn't been to Lucky 7 for a while and felt that the breakfast could enhance a grimy, drizzly Sunday morning and install enough fuel to last til dinner. And how. I've never had Macondo before: two fried eggs, salsa, and guacamole and cheese between two torillas which arrive with sour cream and chilli sauce. It ruled. My girlfriend had blueberry pancakes, which were excellent, with proper maple syrup. Coffee's decent: one refill for your £2. Service was grand. So: good for the guts, good for the soul.

I've been going to Lucky Seven's for ever, and have always enjoyed the fantastic food and chilled out atmosphere.

Until this afternoon.

Our waiter (who is usually LOVELY), was really moody. He must have been having a bad day, but he pretty much ruined our lunch break. The food as ever, was fab, but his curtness and unwillingness to split the bill on three cards (something that we always do) pretty much put a downer on everything.

I went to Lucky Seven for a birthday bite. We arrived on a monday evening, it was busy and we couldnt get a table, "no problem" said the waitress, "go next door, get a drink and I'll come and get you when there's a table free." We went next door to Crazy Homies (same owner as Lucky Seven) a small mexican bar, Modelos all round, a birthday card, a gift, a hot bar maid and before we know it we are heading back for a booth. We all ordered a cheeseburger, french fries, onion rings, and a Jumbo Wally (gurt massive pickle) and enjoyed every bit of it, including the most authentic diner we've visited in london. We finished the evening with a strawberry shake and a chat with the waitress whilst she split our bill three ways on our cards, who up until this point was as miserable as hell, but she turned out to be swell, maybe she'd served one too many burgers that day?!?!! I recommend this place, i'll be going back soon. They do a five dollar shake too.

Had a burger at Lucky 7's last week and everything was truely wonderfull. The fries were tasty and fresh and so was the brilliant service. I strongly recommend the "Kalifornian" with an extra thick strawberry milkshake. Highly enjoyable experience that I would love to have in my neighbourhood!

I have been going to Lucky Seven since they opened and always had a good meal.

That was untill yesterday.

The problem with having an open kitchen is that we could actually see that the fries were being re heated in the fryer!

The onion rings (which I used to love) were soggy and the bean burger was off the menu!

Drinks and service were superb as ever!

All in all it was really disappointing to

see one of my favourite places letting their standards slip in the kitchen.

Ate here for brunch on a Saturday. The staff were unfriendly and we were told we had to wait 45 minutes without any drinks, not even a coffee. Luckily a table became available within 15 minutes. The breafast was very good, using fresh, high quality ingredients, washed down with a well prepared Bloody Mary and hot fresh coffee. The staff became friendlier and more relaxed towards the end of our meal. Whether this was for a tip or because people had left and they were a bit less rushed off their feet. All in all I'd say it was worth the trip.

I think that the service at Lucky 7 is by far and away the most unpleasant I have experienced in my life. Rude, unfriendly, arrogant. I was really quite shocked. Having spoken to friends about this, it seems that I am not alone in this view.....
