Electric Brasserie

Dined here Fri 4th April and was shocked by the bad service and average food.
Waited 45 mintues without explanation for our table which was booked well in advance (inexcusable) , received the worse service I've encountered in London to date, and matradee made us feel very unwelcome and did not like us mentioning the time it had taken him to seat us. Most impressive was the more than over cooked burger after the waiter asking how I'd like it cooked (how hard is it to screw a burger up).
This is definitely a no brainer, unless you're desperate for food,,, don't bother.

Have had breakfasts, lunches and dinners at this restaurant. It is a little pretentious and getting a table can be an effort but it is well worth it. The service is good (sometimes it can be hard to catch their attention) but the food is always good whether it be lobster, Chateaubriand or a salad and the wine list fine.
A good local restaurant for local people (and kids during the day), with Notting Hill prices.

Poor service which only improved when the rude, surly, waiter with attitude went off duty. Food was good, but not better than a lot of other London restaurants. Overrated, pretentious restaurant which needs to employ people who enjoy waiting tables and not wishing they were doing something in their minds 'better'. Will be passing on my thoughts to others as much as possible.

Had a great meal here recently. I too had been appalled by some of the reviews I'd read before going (my wife had booked it).
True, the bar was RAMMED, but getting a drink wasn't a problem.
We were given a nice table and served well throughout the meal.
The food was excellent: hale, hearty, unpretentious, interesting and well-cooked.
The wine list was fine.
The prices were fair.
The atmosphere was great: lively and vibrant. Romantic, if you like your love to swim in the midst of life sometimes, which I do. I'll be going back.

Anyone who says this place is bad is just looking for reasons to slag off a very pleasant local restaurant. There isnt a single restaurant in the world that hasn't had a bad day now and again.
Myself and my fiancee dined here on Friday night. We had the full three courses with a cocktail each. The service was pretty prompt, we had to attract the waiters attention occasionally but in my opinion this doesnt warrant a bad review. The food was amazing. We had the Chauteau briand and Lobster for our main which was very good ,this was recommended by our neighbour.
The price of the meal was more than reasonable for the area, ambience and quality of ingredients by London standards.
Having been to most of the top 10 London restaurants this place rates highly and I've already booked for my birthday.

Booked a table for two last night - then looked at the reviews. Approached it, based on some of the below comments, with a little trepidation. Was more than pleasantly surprised - service was good and food was really, really terrific. Had cold and hot seafood and it was all fantastic and not too pricey (hot seafood platter for 2 with gambas, mussels and a lobster + salad and chips for 40 quid for 2 people - amazing). Oysters etc. were great and far better than in most of the well-known brasseries in Paris (or London) for e.g. Have walked past 100 times, never bothered going in before, but will definitely be a regular now. I wouldn't normally bother to write a review, but my experience was utterly different to some of the below reviewers and I thought it worth mentioning.

I love electric and although I am a regular there I felt compelled to write after our
Visit on Sunday morning. We were seated on a table for two by the front window for breakfast and the waiter serving us was such a gem. He was attentive and charming and made our breakfast even lovelier. The food as always was great, your eggs benedict cannot be matched and this level of service as well left me smiling. What more can you ask? Hold onto this waiter he is a rare find!
i simply do not understand how anyone cannot love this place?

Food was ok, service was non-existent. How can you feel good about coming to spend your money at a place that tells you to get out again after 1.5 hours before you even sit down, with the place not even being nearly full at all? This place is a joke.
