Pilot

I love the Pilot. Very friendly service, the food is excellent and a good atmosphere. The beer garden is lovely in the summer, and there is a summer house out the back you can hire out for special do's. Generally a very relaxed pub, and excellent place to have just round the corner.

I visit the Pilot regularly as it's my local. The food is inconsistent in quality, but has been absolutely superb at times. Recently I had butterfish which was melt in the mouth. It's a good atmosphere, especially at the weekend when it's quieter. Nice atmospheric lighting, generally nice bar staff. The main drawback is its expense, for both food and drink. On the whole a lovely pub.

Better for drinking than eating, although that's not to say that the food is bad. More than acceptable gastro-fodder. One drawback is the noise from the gaggle of estate agents who go there after work for a drink. Worth a visit
