went there with few friends
exquisite food at the water way ,really good location ,summer time is looking good on the canal. expect kaos when the sun is out
waiting staff - attention to details, one of only problem about this place is the cocktails which seems not up to scratch and the few times i visited the waterway was a bit dissapointed about the quality of my drinks,To my surprise yesterday ,was charmed by jj, the bartender who persuaded us to have cocktail instead of the old g&t really nice cocktails 4 once to die for

I absolutely love the Waterway in Little Venice although I prefer it in winter than summer. It just gets too popular when the sun comes out! The terrace gets very busy - it's no wonder they ask for pre-payment - it would be difficult for one to moniter all customers with the amount of movement that goes on on a hot summers day!
The winter vibe is more chilled, relaxed and there is even a fireplace to sip mulled wine and enjoy a more wintery menu.
Although I do live close by, I think I'd travel from far to visit the Waterway - there's nothing quite like sitting on the edge of a waterfront, watching the world go by, in London.

We had another great experience at The Waterway. Good food, good service and not overpriced. A real gem in Little Venice!

I went here for lunch and waited 10 minutes to be reluctantly shown to a table, there were only 6 other people there, it wasn't busy and plenty of staff available. The menu looked spectacular and after making our choices we had to wait 25 minutes before anyone took our order, once given i was then asked for to make payment. I asked why and was told it was policy. The waitress was insistent i pay prior to receiving and eating the meal. After this very rude behaviour we left. I then went back the next day and saw that no other customer was asked to pay for their meal before eating it and must sadly assume that they didn't like the look of us though we were smarlty dressed.

I came here today, just for the first time.
Good things first: Food, very well served, nice combination of flavours with the starters and the manin courses to have clear flavours and colour.
At least aplce in london where bread is offered for free and without asking and begging for it!! also various flavours of bread were offered. well done!
Bad things: service suffered at the following points: getting in, nobody really bothered to come to ask us why we were awaiting at the entrance,
--when starters already served and the dishes were taken away and we were asked if we wanted desserts!!
too many staff walking around making the place to look disorganised and staff look fool busy!!
