As I person who wouldn't normally choose an Indian restaurant, it says a lot that out of a group of 6 restaurants within 50m of each other, this is the only one I would recommend to my friends. The service is lovely, and teh food delicious. As another reviewer said, my friends are prepared to travel to eat here.

Went last night with my parents, and the food, atmosphere and staff were great. We sat upstairs, which I would highly recommend, as it only has 6 tables so is more intimate. The staff stay away and there is none of that continually hovvering that you get at Thai Square. The food was delicious and it was pleasing to see things that you don't get at your normal indian restaurant. The only thing that they could improve on is the desserts, but after eating such good food, maybe it isn't required.

Its my 'local' indian restaurant for many reasons. The food is tasty and not your typical below average indian restaurant catering for those with no taste buds.

The lamb shank in a goan sauce has got to be the best thing on the menu. Nice modern setting and staff are very polite.

My wife and I ate at Origin Asia for the first time last night. It was a beautiful evening and we sat outside, in comfort. The service was attentive and friendly without being unctuous. The wine list was exceptional; I recommend the Gewurtztraminer. The food is just terrific, all fresh herbs and subtle spices - a very welcome relief from the standard 'brown goo vindaloo' that we have all learned to know and to fear. I imagine that OA would be a treat for vegetarians - the lentils alone justify a visit - and the meat dishes that we had were exquisite. On top of all this, it's great value. Go there...

I went to this restaurant for dinner with my colleagues.

We had our table in Al Fresco area.

The food is very good and service is very friendly and helpful.

The selection of wine is one of the best i have come across in an Indian restaurant.

I have been recommending it to my friends since Tuesday.

Too Good.

The food was good but just to much sauce that masked the fact there was not much meat on the plates. The wine was only a half bottle andreally I should have sent it back as just wasnt up to any standard.

The bill well overpriced for what it is -a Kew restraunt living on the fact its in Kew or Richmond Im afraid.

A good, modern indian restaurant. Excellent service, genuinely friendly. Some interesting dishes, fewer basics than I normally recognise, some extraordinary dishes, but plenty of choice. Layout is a bit odd; the best seating is upstairs. My friends are very willing to travel to this one.

I went to Origin Asia with a lot of expectations, having read the reviews on this site. While it was good quality food and genuinely Indian, there are certainly better Indian restaurants in London. The ambience is average - crowded seating arrangement split across 2.5 floors is a bit odd.

The portions are big and there are a couple of interesting main-courses. But food is generally not very spicy.
