Soba (Poland Street)

Good points: The service was fast and the restaurant was clean. My partner and I enjoyed our food as it was tasty, freshly cooked and the portions were fairly large. Also, all main meals ar £4.50 each on a sunday so we both ate out for under a tenner (we had tap water).
Bad Points: The toilets were not clean. The restaurant itself lacked any atmosphere and was very dull looking, as were the staff.
But restaurants are for eating and for the price, the food was good...and the experience was nice (until I used the toilets!)
Would recommend it as a quick early evening meal on a sunday, after a spot of shopping.

This is the usual tourist trap, just off oxford street. Alarm bells rang after the food we ordered came out in under 2 minutes, and it both looked the same. It was bland. The glass of wine was a thimble full, and watered down. Would have rather gone to Wagamamas.

The food at Soba is pretty good - the usual good value noodle bar fare. But the interior of the restaurant is miserable. They could at least have tried to decorate it, dinner at Soba feels like eating dinner in your Dad's garage. And that I can assure you is not a godd thing........
