I was surprised reading the last review - could never complain about the portion sizes here.

This is a good local restaurant serving great food that is easy on the pockets.

I would definitely recommend the crispy duck which always goes down a treat!

The waitress was lovely too! BRILL!!

We'd been to this restaurant twice. This time, we'd made a reservation and was the first customers to arrive. We were given a very small table for 2 and refused when we asked if we could move to another larger table, whilst 2 larger tables good for 4 people were reserved for 2 people who showed up at least 45 minutes after we arrived. Also, 2 men arrived without a reservation were given a larger table for 4 people. The food made us feel bloated whilst the portions were very small, much smaller than any other Chinese restaurant in London or any where else in the world. NEVER TRY THIS ONE, YOU'LL BE DISSAPPOINTED!!!

This is best chinese restaurant in SW London. It's authentic, it doesn't try to be anything other than a chinese restaurant. The owners and staff are really friendly and has resulted in my boyfriend and I visiting weekly.

The food is always very fresh, defined flavours and traditional. highly recommend this to everyone who loves chinese food.

Tamarind and Thyme

Tamarind and Thyme

Monday, May 10, 2010 - First to arrive was this braised pork knuckle. The meat was so tender and falling off the bone and I detected some five-spice (or some of the spices in five-spice!) in the braising liquid...The famous Taiwanese three cup chicken (cooked with equal parts of soy sauce, rice wine and sesame oil) also made an appearance and again the meat was supremely tender and so moist...was surprised to see a Taiwanese interpretation of the Sichuan dish of ants climbing a tree (minced pork on mung bean vermicelli) - there was no chili here but still tasty nonetheless.
