Bucci

I've be in balham for 20 years now and in that time I have eaten in most restaurants which have traded in the area, Bucci still has to come top, price atmo, and food. We are always treated very well and the waiters are polite.

I WENT TO THE RESTAURANT YESTERDAY NIGHT WITH MY FAMILY. THE RACK OF LAMB WAS VERY TASTY:THE BEST IN LONDON!!! ATMOSPHERE WAS COSY AND THE WAITRESS WAS KIND AND FRIENDLY.WE WOULD GO BACK!

I went to the restaurant last night with my family from Italy. Atmosphere isn't bad, waiters should work better and pizza didn't taste good at all!Restaurant is too dark and toilets are dirty.My family felt disappointed and they will never come to this place.So do I. I WOULD RECOMEND TO LOOK FOR BETTER ITALIAN RESTAURANT!

Enjoyed Bucci last week as the pizza and pasta hit the spot. Sure the food is your typical retro Italian, but you need friendly places like this for a local casual night out. Bucci was very lively and very loud, thus making it ideal for a larger group.

Not worth a trip across town but it still worth if it's your part of town.

We have been to this restaurant on several occasions. We have also noticed a lowering of standards with the service and the food, especially the pizzaa. We went for a birthday treat last Sunday and was terribly disapponted. My calzone was tasteless and empty. The other pizza was ok but nothing special and the service was poor. The waitress was curt and unhelpful and the owner roamed around like he was bored. When the wine came it was warm and even after complaining it was not chilled or replaced.

We would not be returning

I took relatives over from Australia on Saturday night for a final dinner before they flew home and they loved it! loved the food,the wine,the waiters ,the complimentary liqueur at then end was a great surprise,the atmosphere was friendly and lively and there is a real buzz about the whole place.It was a brillant way to end their visit and all future rellies from Aus will be taken there!!

I stumbled across Bucci's as a last resort and I must say as soon as i stepped through the doors i felt like i was in a little taverna in the mediteranean with friendly locals keeping the business "in the famillee" (read in godfather accent), playing cheeky pranks with their customers but keeping everyone thoroughly entertained. I agree with that last review, the food does the job but it's nothing to get overly excited about, but for me this place was all about the welcoming experience which is something most restaurants in London tend to forget about. Loved it. I would definately go back.

As I have the same name as the restaurant I had to come and try it! We really enjoyed ourselves, very traditional, friendly and the food = molto buono. My Nonna would have loved to come here.

When you go to Buccis you will be guarenteed to have a fantastic time, the atmoshere brings to back to Italy. The staff are so friendly!!! The food is delicious.. I reccoment the butterfly lemon prawns on a bed of rocket, or the linguini al fruiti de mare, the avacado gratin with prawns baked in the oven is delicious too!!!!!!!! If its your birthday and you tell them you will also be in for a surprise, definity a must !!!!!

I have been going to Bucci's for the past two years and it has always been such a lively place, its pure Italian and full of character. The service is very good and the food is perfect. Just a really nice italian restaurant but do book as it does get very lively, specialy now as they have old manager back.
