Oh my goody goodness what a treat the lovely little LMNT restaurant is. Nestling round the back from a run down Hackney sink estate, the outside looking like some provincial municipal library, you would never guess the fantabulous culinary and sensory experiences to be found inside.

Have you ever eaten inside a giant Eygptian urn whilst listening to El Divo belting out another day in paradise? No well now you can my friends. Kitsch, fun, suprsingly cosy with erotic urinals. What more could you ask.

And I'm not sure why the food is getting such luke warm reviews. When we went on a sunny Bank Holiday Monday it was honestly some of the best I've tasted in London. Absolutely superb and at mains coming in just under 6 quid you're eating for less than a Wetherspoons soggy chicken burger.

Go Now, now, now you won't be dissapointed!!!

What they said about the decor, the exterior looks tatty in its Dalston context but once inside, isolated from the world outside it works well.

This is a great place for something different. The menu is interesting with above average items like duck confit or pheasant available, in execution the food wasn't brilliant but it was cheap so I guess you get what you pay for.

All in all it'd be a great place for a party outing where the company and chat is more important than a culinary odyssey.

The food was gr8 the staff were so friendly and the singing was just superb! You could go here with friends or partners and have a fab time!

The outside of this place gives no clue as to what lies within. The interior decor is unique and definitely a talking point (well, have you ever dined inside a giant egyptian urn?). But make no mistake this is no novelty restaurant - the food is superb and with dinner for two, including dessert and drinks, coming in at £33 you'd be hard pushed to beat this place.

Bonkers interior and fnarr fnarr rude loos make you think 'theme', with a sinking heart, but in reality this is an excellent restaurant. It's incredibly good value, actually cheap, and everything seems well-judged and well-cooked. Just a pity it's on a housing estate on Mars.

You have to keep your eyes peeled when finding this place because you could so easily miss it. My boyfriend and I went to LMNT for late lunch/early dinner on Sunday not knowing what to expect. I just remembered my cousin mentioning it once ages ago and thought to check it out since I was in the vicinity. And I'm glad we did. We were pleasantly surprised by the interesting decor. The staff were friendly enough. The food was good. The starters took a while to come out but was worth the wait as it was delicious, as were the main courses and desserts we had. The total bill came up to £33 and we had drinks and coffee too! Bargain if you ask me. We will definitely be going back again and highly recommend this place.

I was lucky to have been shown this place on a weekend visit, wouldn't have a clue how to find it or how to get there again unfortunately.

I loved everything about this place. The food, the atmosphere and the bill.........we had 3 courses (4 if you include the hummous and bread) and a bottle of vino....all for just over £20 per head. FANTASTIC!

The decor was unusual, there were only 2 of us so we didn't get a special booth but would love to go in a group to experience this.

The decor in the toilets made me smile....although I am sure it might offend the prudish.
