What a great little place, The food is great, the wines are excellent. The staff and atmosphere is brill, would tell anyone to try this place. Situated near Dalston once in you could be in Egypt.

Just very very bad service. The waiter just took an extreme dislike to us from the start and was extremely rude. We were as polite as possible but this was greeted with more bad slow service. Food was ok. He cheered up when we paid the bill. Never again.

Went there for the second time today. Great atmosphere, the food is ok and the service is good.

Has to be the sauciest imagery I have ever seen in restaurant toilet, Not sure I'd go there for a third time.

Love the place. Food Interior everything beautiful. But...... This place used to be more welcoming in the past. Its a first time actually being served by the owner as he said. Apparently the kitchen cannot serve starters and mains at the same time because some of the food gets ready faster than the other. Never had problems about that before. And the waiter/owner wasn't nice almost all night, pretty much until didn't come time for the bill. All of us could see that he did the job because he had to not because he did care about the service. I mean if you have problems leave them and your principals at home, and pay more attention to your costumers. And if u can't deal with it hire waiters/waitresses who can. Shame for the good atmosphere and food. The service wasn't as it used to be...

Went to LMNT for valentines day 2011, having been here before i knew that the food would be good. although the service was extremly poor on this occasion.

It took around 30 mins for our orders to be taken then a further 30 before our starter arrived. The main and dessert arrived quuite promptly so this made the experiene more positive.

Although it did take longer than normal I would still return here because the food is amazing.

Dreadful, dreadful restaurant. Avoid.

I am a Hackney local living 10 minutes walk from LMNT. I thought I had struck a gem when I first found it on Queensway Road but it didn't turn out that way.

The waiting staff were miserable and hard-faced to a man. No-one could be bothered to spend 2 minutes with me, helping figure out what options would work for me as a vegetarian.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not a difficult, militant vegetarian. As long as the ambience and staff is friendly, I'm pretty easy-going -- just a main minus the meat is fine with me.

Unfortunately, the ambience and staff at LMNT is anything but friendly. Sour, short-tempered, ill-interested in the patrons who are there willing to pay their wages.

in the end, we finished our pre-dinner Bloody Marys, paid up (which rankled), and walked out without ordered a single food dish. The food could be spectacular but why pay to be treated like rubbish? I certainly won't.

Avoid, avoid, avoid.

I've eaten here quite a few times before and the food, service and experience have always been ok - nothing extraordinary but nice. However, I have to agree that the service has gone downhill and hit rock bottom for me tonight when I just phoned to try and book a table for tomorrow night, only to be told by who I think was the rude waiter/owner people have described, "Sorry, I'm too busy for this right now, darling. Please call again back tomorrow". That was the lamest excuse I've ever heard! I was absolutely stunned and would much rather of heard him say booking is full, even if it was a lie! I should've have learnt my lesson when I once went there without booking a table - it was busy and full and we were told by the rude and arrogant owner, who just didn't want to know, that we couldn't have a table, even though a couple of tables looked like they were going to become available.

A restaurant is nothing without good service and the rude staff have really let the place down in recent times. If you've ever been to the LMNT website, the restaurant is described as 'London's most eccentric dining room'. Well yeah, damn right it is, but for the wrong reasons and they've just lost a customer as I won't be going there again!

LMNT is a fantastic restaurant. The food is modern European, delicious and very good value for money! We go there on a regular basis and the owner is always friendly and charming. The decor is kitch and fun, and we have never had a bad meal here!

The world's worst restaurant! Enter at your peril!

A group of 9 of us were out for a friends birthday on Friday night and were so severely treated by the OWNER of the restaurant that we left after the starters. After literally shouting at the table to keep the noise down, although we were not being excessively noisy, he took my friend, who's birthday it was, into a corner to speak: We all thought he was apologising but he was shouting AGAIN! Needless to say it spoilt our evening and my friend's birthday.

This is a litle gem hidden in Hackney and I am so glad that it's there.

The decor is unusual and I love taking friends out for dinner here.

The food is frech european and great value.

It does get a bit hot in the alcoves upstairs but it is great for novelty value and very cosy/unusual.
