Alba Pizzeria

I've been to Alba Pizzeria at Clapham North several times over the past month, and take every opportunity to revisit. It's hard to describe just how excellent Alba is. It resides right in front of Clapham North Tube Station, Slightly away from the high street which contradicts its excellence. From the very moment you enter you feel welcomed and valued. The all-Italian feeling and generosity you get as soon as you step onto the front fore court of the restaurant, and the confidence and knowledgeable staff do there best for your every comfort and are very efficient. The food is to die for. If you love your true Italian food, (Pizza, Pasta of all kinds, superb seafood and succulent steaks with generous Salads) you will love this restaurant. The wine list is very comprehensive and for those without detailed knowledge of Italian wines the list contains recommendations and of course the waiters will assist.

The ambience is great – very sleek and modern – but the over all feel is very unpretentious and the cost not excessive. I have just picked up there Christmas Menu which is great at £20.00 per head.

I cannot recommend highly enough: the memory of my Pizza Traditional Italian Style Thin Crust, with generous Toppings and the size and the taste of it will last a long time.

Having recently moved into the area, this has become my new local Italian and I can't praise it enough. Yummy pizzas, excellent service and nice touch being able to sit outside under the patio burners. Would recommend!
