Alba pizzeria, true italian at its best

well what can i say, we were blown away by the food and service and to top it all the desert mouth watering.

We had a party arranged at alba, for one of our freinds leaving Doo. all i had to do was tell the resturant the totall number of the party and time etc; and they took care of the rest for me.

when we arrived, the smilling faces of the waiteres, and the warm welcome we got made us feel right at home. the aroma smell of the pizza, comming from the kitchen was making us more hungry as ever.

We had the starter salads, which is the best i have seen in clapham the size of the plate and the taste was remakable. Mains, Pizza's was just hitting the right spot true traditional italian pizza was amazing. friends had pasta seafood, and also the meaty pasta was just perfect in sense that all ingredeants were right on no to much not to less.

Derserts, well i have to let you try them your self's then you have to taset as i can only describe so much of it as it's the way it hit's spot you need to experiance.

Service, Atmosphere, Value for money, most of all Food its 10 out of 10 for me and my party. I would even recomend it to all of Clapham pizzeria customers to try the true italian Pizza at alba resturant.

My girlfriend and I have been going to cafe Alba for the last couple of years and would recommend it to anyone who will listen!

The food is very well cooked and served and the wine is very reasonable and to run concurrently with other reviews it really is a little oasis in a not so great part of Clapham we come from the other side of town in neighbouring St Johns Hill and I must say it's worth every penny of the taxi ride every time :)

hi there, we've been to alba tonight and after having ordered we were kept waiting for over 50 minutes for our food. when we asked the blonde waitress where are food was since other people who came in later then us had been served their dinner she went to check with the kitchen and it was clear she never ordered it! she came to us and said it was coming and we waited some more. then I approached her and her colleague at the couter and just asked then to tell me the truth whether the food had been ordered or not and she kept lying when her colleague admitted they had never ordered it in the first place. he then just said the order was cancelled and we got our drinks free - apalling, no apology, no anything really.. we left our drinks and just went home.. very disappointing.. mistakes happen everywhere but I would expect to be treated nicer not just to be literally thrown out only because we discovered the staff's mistake...

not sure if this ever gets anybody's attention, but if it does hope it helps..

with the outside tables and shrubs you feel like you're in a little pizzeria on holiday. ok not quite tuscany, but in that rubbish part of clapham north it feels like a little oasis. pizzas are huge and incredibally tasty (try the ricolla one with aubergine), you wont need a starter, and the owner is so friendly and a bottle of house wine very reasonable (£11) and quaffable. their melanzane parmagiana is very authentic, real comfort food, and I travelled in Italy for 7 weeks.. had pizza there last night with a friend plus a bottle of wine for £27. absolute bargain! no idea why someone said slow service. Ive been going for 7 years and its always friendly and fast. Help keep this little place going, so much more character than pizza express!

The restaurant is fine - perfectly good pizzas, but slightly variable quality.

Mamma Miya, what a great idea and a great deal from Alba. they have done it again and given and due to popular demand they have brought back the set menu for 8.50, you can choose from any of the cold starter salads, or hot breads or even choose to have a desert at the end of your meal rather than any of the salad or hot breads. The starter salads are fresh and huge and the garlic breads are t die for it's big and tasty. they are offering the set menu from Monday-Thusday and also weekends 12-5pm. The reason i want to congradulate this resturant is that, they have tried hard to be more than resaonable wit thier prices and managed to keep the qualit of the food same as ever. i think they are doing a great job during theses hard times that every body is suffering from, and for 8.50 its a great night out and the staff are excellent, friendly and allways provide that little extra that we all look for when we go out to eat. I WOULD RECOMEND THE SET MENU AS IT'S GREAT TASTING FOOD, GREAT FREINDLY SERVICE AND 10 OUT OF 10 FOR VALUE

It is great to eat hear, the pizza's are tasty and belive me they are big. a 12inch dosen't sound that big but the way these boys make them you have to wonder how you will finish it. But not to worry as they will be to happy to arrange for you to take home as it taste great the next day, i kow cos i could never eat the whole lot as it's to big for me to handle. The service is great friendly, and they know how to make you feel right at home. Thats the difference between the chain rest and alba. Great value for money, come to thik of it we all watch what we spend now adays with all these roblems arround. Starter, pizza, and a drink is well worth to end the day at alba. Good work guys keep it up, and i hope you will do well in this crazy crisis in the uk. I would recomend alba for all the pizza, pasat lovers, you have eaten until you have tried alba's food.
