Antipasto & Pasta (Clapham)

I first visited Antipasto and Pasta 16 years ago in the company of 3 other mother's of new born babies. Although we only wanted coffee the staff were unphased by the amount of baggage weeks old babies and their exhauted mother's require. They were charming and attentive, leaving us to enjoy an opportunity to be out of the house. The standard of service has been consistent throughout the years, each customer welcomed as if they were a long lost relative, children teased and adults unfailingly flattered. This was the first restaurant in my experience to welcome children, providing baby seats and high chairs long before it became common -place. Staff have walked babies to enable frazzelled parents to eat with two hands and enjoy the consistently well cooked , flavoursome food, which is sufficiently generous to provide a challenge for adolescent appetites.

The menu is extensive enough for everyone to have a favourite and changes just often enough to continue to surprise- though requests for old favourites can usually be accommodated.

The same high quality service is available to both sinle diners and large groups.Our wedding party of 22 people was an enormous success and each birthday is matched with a glorious birthday cake made by an associate of the restuarant.

Despite frequent attendances over the years, eating at Antipasto and pasta remain a treat, which is a tribute to the staff who onsistently provide pleasing, tasty food at reasonable prices in a welcoming and friedly environment - thank you

Quite simply the best restaurant I have ever had the pleasure of eating at in 15 years. I have never been disappointed with the food or service. It is a real gem. It is consistently good, something to do with career waiters who really know their job and how to handle the peaks of service.

The food is excellent, try the ameretto pancake, you will not be disappointed!

This is the best italian restaurant i have ever been to, the food is fantastic and so is the service. I have been going to this restaurant for around thirty years and never been dissapointed. Great place for everyone. you need to try this little place to believe it. Again fantastic.

I've been travelling 20 miles to this restaurant for a number of years. Its not fancy, its not a gourmet experience- just a thoroughly decent neighbourhood Italian which offers predictably decent food and excellent value. Everyone I've been there with has liked it. The sort of place we need more of.

This is one of the best Italian restaurants I know. The food is of a consistently high quality, with an extensive range on the menu to choose from. Portion sizes are very generous and reasonably priced. Service is charming and although can tend to be on the relaxed side, they will serve you faster if you tell them you're in a bit of a hurry. They also have a fantastic lunch and mid-week menu which is incredible value for money.

It is always a joy to eat there and suitable for groups or a more intimate romantic meal. Great atmosphere, great food, great wine - but be sure to book, it's often very busy!
