Great cheap eat - Pizza and Pasta very good (the egg, ham and cheese starter is great). Lived in the area for 2 years before finally going there aqnd have been 3 times in the last month.
Service can be a bit slow when busy, but shouldn't detract from the food, ambience (especially when sitting outside on a nice summer's day) and fantastic value for money. I recommend highly.

Everything you read below is true. Apparently there have been bad reviews, but I couldn't seem to get that far down the page, so they must not exist/be relevant any more.
The pasta's fresh and tasty, the service is quick, genuinely warm and accomodating, and it really is almost as cheap as making it yourself. And their new(ish) decking is fantastic in the summer.
What is there bad to say about it? Hmmm. I've never figured out why the tiny telly in the top corner of the room always seems to be on even when it's only showing Corrie with the sound turned off. But that's ok, I just sit facing the other direction. And there used to be a waiter with a penchant for overly loud Europophouse but he's not been seen for a few years now...
But seriously, The Ritz it ain't, but it IS a place you could imagine (and quite easily fall into the habit of) visiting every night apart from when your girlfriend gets bored and insists on going somewhere else. Er, not that that happened to me of course...

I though people only put cr#p reviews on these sites but that would be impossible for this place. Great pizza (never had pasta despite going about 25 times in a couple of years). Staff were always friendly, service is quick, atmosphere is relaxed, not bothered by the somewhat dodgy music as that's almost what i'd expect.
2 pizza's, one bottle of decent house wine, £20. Job done.

POG is for winners. We go here on a daily basis its so good... ok well not quite because we would get very fat, but its definitely one of the best value italian restaurants in the world. I'm not joking! Perfect for a good bite to eat in friendly surroundings with like minded POG fans.

A brilliant local restaurant. "Crazy Month" half price pizzas ever since it's been open it seems, so great prices for tasty grub. Staff are never less than friendly and atmosphere is always fun but not too loud or rowdy so that you can't hear yourself think.
Go once and you'll want to come back again.

I lived near Pizzeria on the Green for about 4 years and I think on average I must have eaten there once a fortnight! Seriously good pizza. Friendly busy atmosphere. Very good price. Always a winner!
