San Marco

We popped into "San Marco" on Sunday only to discover it had just changed hands! Now called Osteria dell'Arte. A very quirky "arty" family run Italian restaurant. Fantastic food - recommend the lightly fried sardines to start and the fresh pasta with sausage. My partner had the roast rack of lamb with artichokes - cooked to perfection. Will definitely be back!

Really love this local Italian restaurant. Being a native Italian I am really impressed with the food - is very authentic. The prices are extremely reasonable. and the staff are lovely, efficient and friendly. A rare find and I am glad I've found it!.

Honestly, one of the worst dining experiences I've had in Clapham. I am amazed at the fondness of some the reviews below considering the wide choice of eateries on Clapham High Street.

The food was remarkable only for its blandness, a couple of notches below even Pizza Express I would say. The pizza base was very yeasty and completely overwhelmed the toppings.

Then to rub salt on the whole experience, we were charged for what appeared to be complementary bread and olives, given to us by the waitress without question or warning. For two hard earned pounds we were treated to tasteless nibbles that we didn't really want and certainly didn't want to pay for. Whilst it is a small amount of money, it’s pretty deplorable to charge for unsolicited food that most restaurants dish out for free.

If you a nice cheap meal in Clapham I suggest you try the Pepper Tree or Meze (by Clapham North Station). Much better food and much much better value.

Just booking into this favourite local restaurant again. Excellent quality food, 100% authentic. Friendly fantastic staff. Really honestly value for money. Have a wonderful meal every time and go back again and again . What more is there to say.

My cousin and I discovered this place a month ago and since then have been back four times - by far my fav restaurant in Clapham. Great food, cosy atmosphere, staff are awesome - probably the best asset of the place. They're fun, attentive, and authentically Italian - who can go wrong! And always getting a little surprise from the staff to make our dinner special - what a great little discovery. And cheap prices to boot!
