We have been to Yas in the past and always enjoyed the food and service. We have even travelled there in the past as there is no Iranian restaurant near us. However, our last experience was very bad and resulted in us walking out before our mains were even ready.
Firstly, we booked a table for 10pm for 8 of us and when we arrived it wasnt ready and had to wait 20 minutes. When we got to the table the service was extremely slow! The drinks came out after the starters and we had to keep reminding them what we ordered. The food was we did receive was nice but it should have been seeing as it was bread and a variety of dips. They then didnt come back to us to take our order for mains until we asked them having fully finished our starters. We then waited another 40 minutes for the mains to come out and by this time we had decided that the level of service was so bad we left paying solely for the starters.
We saw 2 or 3 tables come in and out in the time that we were there. Which makes me think that they like serving the smaller tables of 2 or 3 people.
I'm not entirely sure how they are award winning?!

This place used to be not so bad. But you have to ask yourself, why do I have to pay £11 for a piece of meat and dry crispy bread with a tomato on top and £15 after midnight? It is ridiculous that they want to charge more for food after midnight and they also suddenly stop accepting credit cards too with not a cash point in sight. It used to be a God send when you came after a long night's work and stopped off for some food and a nice tea for £10 with a nice atmosphere. Those days are gone. Slow service, food quality down and prices up. Some staff are very aggressive. Rice is the best I've ever tasted. A real shame this place went down the pan. Compare this place to Miran next door and you wonder why everyone goes to Yas? People live on past reputations. Copernicus believed the world was round but everyone else didn't. Sad that the world likes to follow the bad places. They used to have the best home made sauces too but those went.

The dreadful and appalling service totally ruined our meal at this restaurant. I would not recommend it at all.

This restaurant is a complete waste of money. The service is appalling, the food is VERY poor (for one of us it was inedible), the wine was corked, half the dishes were either incorrect or didn't even arrive (although they managed to appear on the bill!) and one of our drinks never arrived (also on bill).

Yas is over priced for the low quality, and bland/boring food you get (dry processed meat and bland rice) The service is non-exsistant and they slap on an non-optional service charge...possibly one of the worse resturants I have been to, very disappointed.
