I took my partner here for his 18th birthday as a romantic meal out for both of us.

The food variety is amazing and there is something that would suit everyone on the menu form starters to main through to deserts.

The service was very quick and presentation of the food was excellent and waitresses and waitors was so polite and provided and overall great experience.

28 of us had a great Christmas lunch on 10 Dec 07 Everyone was very impressed with the food - quantity and quality - and we found the staff very friendly. All went smoothly and it was good value for money.

An out of the way little restaurant we'd be happy to support on future occasions

Last week we celebrate our Christmas Party and we had the best time ever. food and service were excellent. I image its no easy to cater for 35 people plus and we have to admite that so far it was the best Christmas Celebartion we had for more than 5 years. Thank you very much Carlos and all your staff and merry Christmas to you all.

I was there with a group of friends back in november, the staff was unfriendly and rude...do they know that it doesn't hurt to smile?

my friend ordered a medium rare steak and it came out well done but my risotto was very nice.

I've visited Da Paolo quite a few times, and recently held my birthday party for 30 people in the basement. It's not easy to cook well for such big numbers, but everyone agreed the food and cosy venue were excellent.

Unlike other places I considered for a venue, the manager Carlos was very obliging, let us play our own music, didn't insist on a minimum spend, etc...in short, they confirmed what I know when visiting in smaller numbers: the food and friendly service remained high quality.

Good places like this deserve support. I just hope success doesn't spoil the magic formula!

After enjoying a meal at this restaurant earlier in the year I booked again for a large family birthday party before going on to a show. The food was very good and certainly value for money. The portions were large but we all still managed to eat the delicious chocolate birthday cake which the restaurant had been happy to provide when I asked if they could. The service was friendly and speedy so we had no worries about making the show. All in all a brilliant experience and I would be happy to recommend to all.

I've been to Da Paolo quite a few times now and I have yet to be disappointed. Good food and very friendly service. Only niggles being that it is a pretty small restaurant and you can be a bit crammed in. Also slightly on the expensive side for the food on offer but having said that I'd go back again.

I visit Da Paolo Restaurant every time I come to London and I always feel very welcome. The food is without any question wonderfull all the time and the service is superb. Though its a little place, you feel like that's what you need to escape from our busy and loud London.

We visit London once a year, for a weekend and a special evening meal, and based this year's choice on the excellent reviews. As we entered, we thought what a lovely cosy atmosphere there was, so this was a good start. The menu looked interesting too. However, the food we chose was just OK. The dishes were what I'd expect from a cheaper, chain of Italian restaurants, not a central London one. We are no experts on Italian cuisine, but do visit Italy once or twice a year, and the dishes had none of the subtlety that they should have had. Instead, they seemed to be over-sauced and stodgy. Another thing that slightly tarnished the evening, was that the waitresses were Scandanavian, and although friendly, didn't have much knowldge about the food being served. If you do go, upstairs had a much nicer ambience than the basement.
