Over-priced drinks, depressing decor, dirty toilet facilities, with cheap broken plastic pound shop seats make you wonder quite what the surly staff have to be so rude and up themselves. And, given that when we went it was hardly packed to the rafters, why they take so long to serve. You can stand there for an age whilst they converse amongst themselves. Why does this stretch of the Angel have such delusions of grandeur? A meer hop skip and jump to grotty Holloway Road afterall. I only went as some friends had pre-arranged a social. There are far, far better establishments around, with better ambience and fairer priced drinks.Medicine Bar could be good if they had a better pricing policy or at the very least, trained their staff to seem pleased to see/serve you. Or the decor was better. SOMETHING to justify their snotty attitude. As it stands, it makes for a fairly depressing evening out. The kind that wishes you'd stayed at home.
