For me The Wishing Well is the best restaurant in London. I've been going there for the last 7 years with all my family and friends. We have never been disapointed. The food is excellent, service is great and the atmosphere is wonderful. I would strongly recommend this restaurant.

Me and my boyfriend went to the Wishing Well for first time yesterday. The special offer of three course meal for £7.95 before 7p.m. took our attention. I ordered mussels mariner, as a starter and I would say that these are the best mussels I've ever had anywhere (and I am French....) As a main course I ordered chicken tarragon, which was tender and really tasty. My boyfriend had grilled brie cheese with walnuts and garlic, as as a starter and duck with leek, wrapped in puff pastry as a main course. For dessert we shared just one pudding, because the portions were very generous. He was very happy as well. The atmosphere was cosy with candles and romantic music. The staff was helpful and friendly. We spent a great time with nice chilled bottle of Sancere wine. On one of the tables it was a party of ten celebrating a birthday. The surprise was when the waitress brought a cake with a singing candle. On a Hi Fi they played mix of birthday songs collection. We all enjoyed very much. The atmosphere was great. I even consider my boyfriend surprise party to take place at The Wishing Well. I would strongly recommend this restaurant to anyone. It's unbelivible value for money.

My husband and I went to this restaurant with my in-laws and we all thought the food was disgusting. 3 of us had potato skins as a starter which had been deep fat fried and so were greasy and heavy.
For the mains, I had halloumi brochettes and the halloumi was hard and burnt and practically inedible. My mother in law had pea and bacon risotto which was incredibly stodgy and tasted of rice pudding with a few peas and bacon bits thrown in - truly revolting.
I have no idea how this place has received good reviews as it is awful. I can safely say I will never go back here.

I went on a European tour with my friend last year and we found this place right by our hotel. The food was AMAZING! The beautiful Bulgarian hostess was an extremely nice woman and told us all about the food we ordered and its origin. I was extremely surprised to see a dish that came from my country on the menu...the Halloumi cheese, which is an appetizer, came from Cyprus. If any of you go there...you MUST try it. I'm an expert at Halloumi and it's one of the best I've had! So aside from the food being incredibely delicious...we got 3 courses for 7.95. You cannot beat that, especially in London. We searched everywhere for food that wouldn't put too much of a dent in our wallets and we ended up finding the best most inexpensive food around. This place reserves a special place in my heart. I'm leaving for London soon to see family and this place is about an hour away from where I'll be staying...I have no problem whatsoever traveling that far to get to it. I highly recommend this place.

What a find this place is! Small and intimate (dont let the hanging witches put you off!), it is my fave restaurant in lonond. The owners are lovely and are happy to serve you at your own speed. The food is delicious - the mussels starter are particularly good, and the risotto is always perfectly cooked. The price is so right as well - really you cant go wrong with this gem of a place. highly recommended, only dont tell too many people cos then we may have to start booking!!

I have been in London for 6 years, this was the first restaurant I went to when I came here and this place has made a lasting impression on me. The atmosphere is cosy, the food delicious and the staff very friendly and helpfull. I have had a birthdays there since then, going away parties, 3 chrismasses and I still love it.
The food is very cheap at £7,95 for a 3 course meal and it is not hastily made food that tastes like rubber - it is presented well and the food is delicious and you don't have to be all quite in the restaurant. I have had a great time every single time a went to this restaurant.

I went there for my office xmas do. It was awful. Ok, the starter was soup which was ok, but the xmas dinner! I have never seen anything like it in my life. 2 small pieces of reformed breast of turkey, a small wedge of stuffing, half a roast potato, and half a roast carrot? But thats not all...... a good handful of lettuce with salad dressing & gravy!!! I mean come on, if they were short of cash to buy food potatos are cheap enough to fill your plate with. The dessert was the best thing - choclate cake, and even that tasted like it came from Iceland. Such a shame as I had heard nothing but good reviews about this place!!

I have just eaten at this restaraunt and found it delicious. The food was very well presented and filling. The staff were always accessible without ever being in the way.
We also had the pleasure of going before 7.00pm where you pay £8 for a 3 course meal. Even the person who turned up late still only paid £6 for a main.
I would recommend this place to anyone as the range of food is diverse and very very tasty
